I sent this as an email to a Carlton Mad fan who thinks our list is fantastic.
I cut and paste on her and should of edited it.

But when i was in West Syd not 1 shop sold AFL stuff, the papers are lucky to have a tiny article on AFL.
Also every kid plays soccer in that area. The only place i see people kicking a AFL ball is when im on the Buss going past the SCG and see the swans training outside and nobody watching them train.
Its going to b a 20-30 years experiment. But thy will be gifted a Flag in 4 years.
I was working in a very large Company and not 1 person spoke about AFL its frightening.

Sydney Swans even when they are flying cant pack out a game.
Should of been more marketing on them on Canberra based team even Tassie.
Not Gift a side a Flag and expect everybody to Jump on.
More needs to be done to stop all the Kids moving Code in Vic.
No wonder so many weak, Clubs there is to many.
Id even accept a Carlton/Kangas Merge

No worries Lloydy. If that is your observation. It takes time and money, they would be doing the game a disservice if they neglected the future.

The future is an expanded market that extends beyond state boundaries, without neglecting your traditional base.

Of course they are aware of this, and would not allow the base to be destroyed in the expansion. Believe it or not both these things can be achieved.imo.

Ill never forget 1am in the morning we were at a Restaurant in St Kilda. Kouta come Running over gave you the biggest Hug. You introduced me to him. Gee he still looks super fit after watching him tonight.

Really like Fevs attitude and so pleased he has turned his life around. This all could of been fixed when he was at young age at the Club.

Punting, Girls, Drinking, i wont mention Drugs but dont have to be a Rocket Scientist. So much Cash splashed around, players doing what they want and Money just Shoved in Boys pockets. Also not Educated from having $100 week as a kid to possible $5000 a week. Party time. Other Clubs the same Carey just a quick example. You mainly here of High profile players and Press love it. Sells papers.
Also Football Clubs Cultures have completely Changed from when Fev and Carey 1st started playing, to how they are run now.
Yes Fev would of been hard to manage. Footy Show was no help. Every cent he was payed was well worth it to them and the sponsors. Negative publicity is always the cheapest and makes money.
I think most of Australian Mums fell in love with Fev on Dancing with the Stars, laugh at him for going on it, was best thing for him. They got to see the good side of him. He still has a long way to go and i pray that he doesn't fall into the trap again. I wish him all the best for his future and lives the rest of his life with his Kids and wife.
If you have ever had a Chance to see how good Fev is with Kids its amazing. He sort of is a Big kid himself.

I also wont High note myself, ive seen Fev when he was just about to be out of control. Pulled him aside, had a word to him, organised him a Car or room and managed it before it was a problem, kept it hush. For some reason he would listen to me, would always call me and tell me he was coming in and if i could see it was time, to ask him to leave. He was easy to manage compared to other people. Plus i had a strict policy that Fev never knew that his drink was to only have a Half shot. Could do as was not charged any drinks.

Also he is a great Advertisement to Kids never to get ahead of yourself and end your Career the way he did. He could teach using Sam Newmans FARC academy (Joke) In all serious if he was teaching Kids at 15 how to kick the ball properly for goal. Im sure recruitment guys would be watching and taking notice. Goal kicking at AFL standard is terrible at the moment.

Gibbs possibly the most overrated player in the AFL never thought much of him extremely slow and doesnt chase, harass and doing any of the little things that can still make you an effective player when you're not getting the ball, supposedly a great kick  plenty of better kicks around than him not say8ing he's a bad kick but certainly not among the most elite in the game.

Without Waite the poor old spent Blues have no presence on the ground whatsoever.  They cheated for years for draft picks, now look at them.  Win one week lose the next.

Was On Gold Coast the Weekend
Didnt Realise things where so Bad on Gold Coast. Joint is Empty so many Closed down Shops and Hotels that are normally 200-300 a night going fo2 $80 a night. I stayed Cheveron 2 Bedroom Apartment $89 a night its normally $300. Place was not even Half full.
Restaurants practictly giving Food away.

Also went to Gold Coast vs Brisbane on weekend.
14000 people for 2 local teams.
Friday night impossible to listen to AFL on any Radio station on the Gold Coast.
Hotel i was staying at Had Fox Sports but no AFL station. Was not on any Live TV
Went to a Bar that Advertises Afl and NRL asked why AFL was not on they said it was a Big NRL game on and nobody watches AFL here.
Hard to find a Shop that Sells AFL Merchandise.

On Arrival at Ground there is no Drop off point. Nice Night for a 430 start Football. Terrible Crowd.
Drop off Point s 1-2kl away from Ground. we had a 4 year old Kid and had to walk so Far just to get to Ground.
Cost for a Seat and the Lady said im sorry the Seats are not Good $35 Adult and $12 a Kid. We opted for the Family Pass $72.50. I Gave the 2nd Child pass to a Dad buying a General Admission for Him and his Kid he was over the Moon.
Said i made his day, as he told me now he could afford to Get his Kid something at The Footy that he had saved weeks just so they could go.

We Got to our Seats. If it was seats at the G would of Been $100+ Seats where Great.
They Put on a decent Pre Game show.
Every Qtr they have Kareoke time and winner wins $100 Voucher.
Wasnt the Best of Games. Crowd went more Crazy when Gold Coast won a QTR and Mc Donalds Gave every ticket Holder a Free QTR Pounder.
After the game the have a 5th Qtr Bar that has a Band playing.
Thre is a Ground with Flood lights on to have a Kick on.

14000 people all trying to get out was a nightmare. It took about 30 mins Just to get to the road to Cross. There is 1 exit point.

Overall a disappointing Crowd. It was Bris vs Gold Coast, should of been a sell out. But they are trying.
Adults will not return if they have to walk their Kid 1-2 KLs just to get to the Gate.
Needs a Drop Off Point. Or a Pedestrian Bridge built so you can exit 2 areas and not have to walk so far.

Very long way away from breaking the market. Ill return to Carl vs Gold Coast Game. Already Booked my Flight and booked same Apartment same price. Its Smack in Middle of Surfers. Even had Ocean View 32nd Floor.

Wont Drive this time will Catch a Shuttle Bus that Cost $15 per Adult. They have a Drop off Point. Right near the entry. Takes 10 Mins from Surfers. Told can take a while to get home by Bus.

If they want it to Work. Get the Kids involved and Cheaper $12 Please for a Kid.

Id Give the place a 9/10 but have to Rate it 5/10 only on So far to walk just to get to the Ground.
Easy to get a Drink but a Bit of a Walk from the Stands.
When they are Gold Coast are Good and on a Hot night Will be great for Sat night Games. Just need to Sort a few things out.

Lloydy I seriously beg to differ that an overweight injury prone has been, is the most talented player not playing AFL. Seriously mate that statement is just inane.

There are a number of guys in the WAFL alone that would run rings around him and not be a disciplinary basket case.

He has well and truly had his chances and doesn't deserve any further opportunities, he was an embarrassment to not one but two clubs and while he may supposedly be a nice guy that doesn't entitle him to yet another opportunity when there is some kid out there busting their gut and doing all the right things and through circumstance and the inability of afl talent scouts to recognise a diamond in the rough, not getting that opportunity.

Your scouts need to open their eye and scour these other competitions,country football etc searching for that diamond in the rough, fevola isnt going to win you a premiership or even put you into contention.

He never chased or worked harder enough defensively when he was physically capable and nothing is going to change after a couple of years out of footy and opposition clubs will run off him at will.

Tim Watson was an out an out champion and a doyen of the game and he was was incapable of returning to anything like his best after retiring and then making a football comeback, what on earth makes you think Fevola could.

Taking Fevola back would be a massive backward step and surely no one at Carlton could possibly contemplate doing so and it sends a shocking message to your younger players that no matter what you do, no matter how many times you fark up that if you have enough football talent we'll continue to play you and give you opportunities anyway.

Sorry Lloydy but sometimes the truth hurts, he wasnt a kid and he could have saved himself, his reputation and his career if he had done the right things at Brisbane and he made a conscious not to do so, there is such a thing ass personal responsibility.
People like you and others who are still amazingly willing to fall all over themselves to promote him is a slap in the face to every young kid out there with talent who would kill to have had just one of the numerous opportunities that fevola was given.

Not in our current form but the Eagles match up againt them ok  and collingwood ok.
Am worried about the fact we dont match up well against Sydney,bombers and adelaide currently.
Snake I agree though the Hawks are flying but as I have said they exposed collingwood's vulnerability which we did as well to a certain extent but turned the ball over at crucial times and wasted numerous opportunities. North are starting to gain some real momentum and are playing good footy as well and still think the cats can get on a big roll, tigers if they can get on a roll and sustain it can still sneak in they're last six games are all winnable ones, they would have to win all six but if they play like they played against north they are capable of doing that.

North might make the top 4. If they beat Collingwood they could win all 6 games and replace Collingwood or the Eagles. Take a look at their (the Roos')last 6:

Here's a name for you Adam Cockie is still young and is a hard at it skilled, ferocious midfielder playing in the VFL this year in the hope of getting back into the AFL system, played a number of games for the Eagles in one season a couple of years ago and played some tremendous footy for Subiaco in the WAFL for a couple of seasons after that and showed real promise at the Eagles but for whatever reason wasn't on Worsfold's good side, he can play.

Thebas ,as you may be aware my son is at Richmond...he's the Multi-Cultral Development Officer...he is very impressed by the current admin and footy dept's...something that could not of been said about the tigers a decade ago.Whether this improvement off-field sees on-field improvements is yet to be seen ,but at least they are giving themselves a better chance than ever before.

I have never had a 2nd club but since Todd has been at Punt Rd I find myself secretly hoping they do well,lol,.
