the horse scenes in the stalls etc were great .. always tuff to 'plan' the races for the horses
they did show one shot where a leg was gone close up ... hope that was a super imposed shot ... but maybe not ?
the story line will keep me going i reckon

a shame ... in all aspects ... from the poor horses ... to the ultimate fate decreed by viewer's
i was hoping to see the backroom scenes play out .. the underbelly if you like .. of the US racing game
was it based on a book etc ... or were they writing it as they went along ????
(sex & the city [whatever], sopranos [yes till the 6th or something season ])
... but they also yanked Deadwood and Carnivale mid-stream ...
so i aint a huge wrap for HBO at all ... get em in (watchin) ... then hang em out to dry (cancel)
cheers for that josha shame ... in all aspects ... from the poor horses ... to the ultimate fate decreed by viewer's i was hoping to see the backroom scenes play out .. the underbelly if you like .. of the US racing gamewas it based on a book etc ...
Loved it one of the best shows I've seen on tv for along time, devastated to find out today that that it was cancelled because of the horses that were killed making it, it was getting very good ratings from what I've heard so pretty disappointing, maybe they could make a movie out of the remainder of the story.

The numbers start to fall and the investors start to back away and before you know it, you're in trouble. Then, when horses start to die during production, you're literally left standing in a pile of you know what.
Luckily, or, as luck would have it, the producers of "Luck" ran into a little bit of luck at the same time their show was running out of luck -- thanks to the deaths of three horses who's luck had run out.
may not have been the horse death's LE see josh's linkhttp://www.harnesslink.com/www/Article.cgi?ID=96384&fullcomment=1#comments-8915 The numbers start to fall and the investors start to back away and before you know it, you're in trouble. Then, when
Yeah just checked it I rembered reading though that the early rating were good, Iw atched the other night with my mum as went over and told her about ti and must admit tha t that she even though she enjhoys going to the races now and then that I had to explain some of the racing parlance to her and why the the trainers was being so clever dropping the horse back intot he claimer and putting bandages on it etc, so I suppose that may have been one of the problems but also that leads to its authenticity as well so I suppose unfortunately that's a bit of a double edged sword to overcome.
Maybe they need to produce some sort of preview or behind the scene with the actors either being interviewed themselves or having the actors speaking to the horse people explaining to the public the meaning of the horse speak jargon and have that air prior to and again after the first epeisode so regular people could have have some grasp of it, , that was proably something that was over looked. Gary Stevens just as in Seabiscuit is very good , Jason Gedrick outstanding, and don't know who plays the wily former peruvian immigrant trainer but he's very good, it's a real shame about its cancellation but I will continue to watch, far more important to have craap mindnumbing brain dead so called reality shows I guess. I have never watched one of them and and you couldn't pay me to watch any of that craap.

Watched both episodes several times. loved it so far. So realistic of the punt & racing game in general.
Liked the trainer of the horse that won at 20-1. reminds me a lot of a trainer that used to train a horse for me. i remember he told me he wasn't going to back mine one day at cranbourne & i know for fact he won $40k on it.
