Would appreciate good ground but for me I don't believe he will reverse the placings with Step Back. The further they went the further Step Back pulled away from him. He finished very tired that day which doesn't bode well for staying an extra 1/2 mile. I don't remember too many winners coming from that Sandown race either for whatever reason. Possibly contested by lower class horses.

Nice comments by RJ today , probably as good a chance as Hobbs/Johnson will get , specifically aimed at the race from way back , decent ground likely , big weight swing with Step Back , never fallen , + Hobbs emphasised in Hen's book how much he wants to win it .

How tired it was at the finish of the Sandown race would make me a bit worried about the stamina side. When you say big weight swing it's 8lbs I think and although a sizeable amount it wouldn't guarantee it finishing in front of Step Back the way that horse finished.

backed it a week or so ago at 25's (bog) as saw it was Hobbs' only entry so would be aimed at the race anyway and can see it shortening over the next week.

The two Shirocco horses are interesting not just for this renewal but next year too with Nick Gifford already stating that Glen Rocco is being aimed specifically at the GN next year and has an entry in both the Topham and Scottish National.
I actually see both (an on song) Minella Rocco and Rock The Kasbah getting outpaced and being closers at the finish. It's just whether they have too much to do. i don't think they will be going backwards at the finish if they're still there put it that way.

The other thing about Rock The Kasbah if you believe in coincidences is that the last 3 winners of the race have had RELKO in their dam's pedigree as does Rock The Kasbah. Relko is not that common in dam's pedigrees at the moment although that will increase in time because Relko was in the pedigree of Presenting and there are more and more Presenting broodmares appearing on the scene such as Rathvinden's.
