Aintree weather watch

Two days of glorious sunshine, had a lot of rain during​ the week but if it stays lije this it will be good for sure.

Just 10 days until the Randox Health Grand National Festival gets underway at Aintree.

Going is currently Good, Good to Soft in places.

Can only see a few showers later this week then looking mostly fine during race week. Probably water to maintain the current ground imo.

Very heavy short shower yesterday and raining today. Don't trust weather forecast. it is wrong a lot of the time.

significant rain overnight and light but steady rain this morning

Aye was fairly heavy rain for a brief period but as you say now light but constant. I'm sure weather forecast said no rain today :) If it was soft it could well be heavy by the end of the day but still a week to try out.

B.H.A. now say soft,good to soft in places, are they making it up?

supposed to be sunny and dry all day tomorrow

Has been sunny all afternoon yesterday and all day today. Will be good ground if it remains like this for the rest of the week. A big if given the current climate.

I have been across the Melling road there and back on the bike this morning lots of mowing going on and the ground next to road looks like it may dry a bit on the surface but not too any depth by Thurs so probs good but on the soft side of good.All other prep seems done and all is set for the festival.

looking for horses who can go on the ground

Best Good ground horse I can see...and I mean true good ground horses. 
Saint Are (big chance imo), The Young Master and Just a Par....pile in!!...
However I notice they watered the course today and its still mainly good, good to soft.  No rain forecast all week (done it now haven't I)....and really good weather on Saturday (Sunny and 15/16 degrees)

Having put 10mm on overnight Tuesday at Cheltenham don't be surprised if at least that amount gets put on at Aintree.

It might be more than one night too especially given the forecast

A dry day forecast, quite heavy overnight dew tho, I'd expect the ground to be just on the soft side of good, but only just. High temperatures forecast for Saturday, support starting to come for the good ground horses, perhaps a second look at the horses near the bottom of the handicap as the heat will surely take it's toll.

So what we saying about the ground, soft ground or good ground horses ?
