Have backed this fella at 33/1 too. Looking more and more likely to get a run. Definite shortlist material.

Horses on equal handicap weights are eliminated by lowest current handicap mark. As Bishops Road has won since weights published and risen a few pounds he will get in ahead of Knock House.

I thought he would be 41 but do not bank on it. If you look at the 10:2 horses you will see that Smudge-The-Blot has them in order of preference, his preference that is.

There are two possible defectors. Connections need to keep their nerve.

All 40 stood their ground this morning. So first reserve.

You would assume Kerry Lee is phoning round quite a few owners/trainers trying to persuade them to withdraw their horse. For me Bishops Road should be close to 2nd favourite if it gets in and the ground is somewhere between soft and good to soft.

yes, deadline for reserves is 1pm tomorrow, moved from 9am last year after Carlito Brigante was declared a non runner too late for Bailey's Concerto to get a run

If he runs in the Topham tomorrow where do we stand with or ante-post bets for the National on here. Will they still be refunded?

Thelastfling

By 1pm tomorrow if nothing above drops out BR would have been deemed to have been balloted out ie money back - I had my stake on Cause Of Causes refunded today as it did not even make the reserve list.
