Good luck JBNAY, of the ones you've backed, I like Alfie Sherrin the most, be amazed if this isn't the plan.....via Chepstow and Cheltenham hopefully. For a horse who could go off single figures on the day......he's a nice price.
Of the rest, I put a few quid on Tarquinus at a price last year, and thought he ran a decent race for an outsider, and off the back of a decent season. Had a look at him at Newcastle last time, but thought he looked a bit reluctant. If he goes though, I'd have to have a couple of pounds on.......just in case ![]() |

You've backed 18 horses ?? |

What about Theatre Guide? A good run in the Hennessy and was in front for too long and consequently waited for Monbeg Dude last time.
If he gets an entry I could be interested in him. |

Facts,
I like to keep my options open for as long as possible, or as my granny from knott end used to say " don't put all your eggs in one basket". I have already narrowed it down somewhat with my staking plan. I have been backing some of these since April, it only takes a few quid at a big price to cover your stakes. Incidentally, I thought that Auroras ran a cracker on Boxing Day under the circumstances and couldn't resist the 50+/1 on here any longer! So I bought a few more eggs. ![]() Let's hope they don't end up on my face! (again!) |

Wow Knott End ! Not heard anyone mention this place in years. My great aunt lived in Preesall - and all my summer holidays ( in the 50's and early 60's ) were spent there. Very happy memories - watching the trawlers across at Fleetwood, fishing off the ferry slip, the lovely old ferry boats, the Isle of Man cruise ships in the dock. Sadly all changed now. |

I'm hugely disappointed about Cappa Bleu and Auroras Encore.
But, that's the chance you take..... On the bright side..... T43 appears well primed, A good run at Cheltenham will see Triolo gambled, I added Monbegs to the list as defo in the shake up. The Package had a slight injury setback last Summer but I found out that he returned to training in the new year, got him at 200+, will feel like a winner if he even gets to the race! ![]() I will be happy if he just pops round at Cheltenham then spot on for this. All my outsiders are nonners but all other bets mentioned still stand. Will prob add Burton and Farm to cover my losses nearer the time. |

Sunnyhillboy seems to hit every trend as far as I can see and will be in my portfolio alongside Burton Port.

I am slightly embarrassed that I've backed so many horses for this race, but the name of the game is making a profit, so here's where I'm at.
The Package is by far my biggest earner, I've been touting him for this race to friends, acquaintances and family for so long that I've forgotten why! ![]() I've always thought that they've never realised his true potential and IMO he's well capable of defying this mark. I know that's an unusual thing to say about an 11yo but everything is in his favour on Saturday so I'm very hopeful. Long Run has a great chance, I think this race has been the plan for longer than Hendo stated. Teaforthree and Monbegs Dude chances are plain for all to see, I've got Tidal Bay too but think the ground will be too fast for him. Triolo Dalene, Colberts, and PDB should be thereabouts and would win me a summer holiday. Shakalaka has been overlooked since his last run but I still think he's got a good chance. I added Double7 a couple of months ago when I figured he was Ireland's main hope. ![]() Burton Port will get my stake back tho I don't think he will win. Mountainous, Walkon, OneinaMilan and Our Father complete my portfolio. That's 15 horses in my favour, surely I've nailed it? ![]() |
