not convinced of his jumping (I know he won the Becher, but was on his nose at the first in that race) ... will stay of course but I feel he should be a bigger price. Having said that, he wouldn't be the first to fall at Bechers and go back and win next year, West Tip and Red Marauder to name two.

This must have been a late change of plan. In mondays RP thorton was quoted saying how much he was looking forward to riding WER. Stats quoted speak volumes and I doubt they a coincidence, Hutchinson is probably a significantly better jockey than Thornton, though I do feel sorry for him given some of the injuries he's had in recent times.

As long as I can remember, some jockeys have been fashionable and others overlooked, R.WALSH is a case in question, he is first jockey for MULLINS and NICHOLLS, yet I believe that P. TOWNEND is much better all round but totally unfashionable. WAYNE HUTCHINSON has been a very reliable pilot for a number of years ,yet he is unfashionable.
