A plausible longshot, with class and stamina, although he has never won on fast ground. What worries me is that he is often pulled up which suggests some sort of physical problem: dodgy legs, perhaps, which might fit with needing give in the ground, but that is only a guess.

Killyglen is one of four put up by AP McCoy in a video on the Hills web site. The others are Don't Push It, The Midnight Club and Niche Market.

i think he's lost interest in the game, and don't think he's a battler.

Fits most of the trends.

This is one I picked out. I like 9 year olds with 10-10. Fullfills all the criteria. At 66-1 smashing e/w.

I've backed this one, if he takes to the fences he has a solid chance, will love the ground and has form at Aintree.

Was running a cracker in a round which seemed pretty seemless (but for the odd semi mistake). Couldn't believe the nature of his fall, just didn't jump which was so out of kilter with the rest of his round. Definitely one for next year - would have finished in the first 6 in my opinion, maybe even better with a bit of luck.

Killyglen would've been there at the death, I'm certain he would have been third at the very least.  Hopefully he will make amends for it next year.

Not sure. I thought he'd run well, but the problem he's had is finishing his races. He weakened very quickly at Doncaster when he was travelling like the winner.
Report Bindaree April 10, 2011 4:49 PM BST
There seemed a lot more kick back at Doncaster although supposed to be good, also probably went off too fast and hadn't run for quite a while.Certainly seemed to run on stoutly in his 2 hurdle races in Ireland on unsuitable going.

so out of kilter, suppose that doesnt count the previous fence which he clobbered and jockey nearly fell off with reigns flapping all over the place
