Never miss the Thu. One of the best days racing of the year. Miles better than the Sat IMO.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Aintree yesterday despite not backing a winner and getting the placepot up only making a small dent in the days' losses.  Great atmosphere and good to see some quality animals unlike the fodder at Yarmouth and Fakenham that  see on a regular basis.

Dissapointed to see the on track bookies taking the mick though.  Plenty of 1/6 the odds for a place in the first and even worse some going 1/7 in the second race.  Is despicable too strong a word?

Gets too busy for me on the Saturday, too expensive too unless you want to watch the racing on a screen.

Had a great time yesterday, Ive done National day a few times but yesterday was about seeing some great horses.
