I recently gave my sister away at her wedding, I shed a tear or two out of happiness for my sister and sadness at my father not being there.

I take my dog to Fitzpatrick's Referrals (The Supervet) once month for his chemotherapy. I have unashamedly shed a few tears on more than one occasion when other owners are saying their final goodbye to their pet.

Someone said earlier in the thread, I can't recall who said it that it was very uncool for a bloke to shed a tear watching a film. That has only ever happened to me once and it was when watching the film 'I, Daniel Blake'. I'll never watch that film again, it was very upsetting.

A quick update on the cat situation for you kenny, all are neutered so no more litters thankfully. He is down to 19 now and is going to move in with the daughter in the next 6 months as he is not getting around too well now and is unsteady on his pins, he will have a really lovely ground floor garden flat in Herne Hill which is a nice part of South London. God only knows what I'm going to do with the cats that survive, he can take his two favourites with him but that's all, we'll have to pay to get the others rehomed somehow. The cat protection leagues etc. have been way beyond worse than hopeless. God knows I have tried my best but really G, it's like banging my head against a brick wall and I've given up with all of them. Believe me, I have exhausted every possible avenue but they don't really give a toss when all is said and done.

You've done well to get them all spayed and neutered, slippy, that's really important. Cat's P are a bit hopeless, the independent re-homing places are the best but sadly nearly always full, but you can sometimes get on the waiting list. Seems you've done a good job. Give me a final update in due course about the 17.Cheers.

I will do mate, hopefully by September we'll have got everything sorted and the old boy can have a nice and relaxing time in his dotage with his children and grandkids around him and just kick back with no stress in his life anymore.

Cats Protection have millions in the bank, why don't they spend it on re-homing centres.?

That came to light in the Icelandic banking crisis 10 years ago, when they were set to lose 11 million. Not sure of the final outcome.
