It may not be a potentially offensive word that causes a competition table to disappear. I notice that the Premier Division table is missing and, after searching Wednesday's Premier Division thread, I can find no 'bad' words.

By:
there is no Div 3 table above Reged's write up either...
|

There are some odd ones. Notably Y E A T S but there are a few others that don't make much sense on what is by definition an adult forum. You can get away with some naughty words that are not used in America. Arse I think gets through.

A horse named Mardy B u m caused hassle yesterday.

and there's the third attempt at posting a table gone. Who needs a table anyway?
If it is moderator action I would appreciate some guidance from him/her. |
|
By:
and yet the word Bum in a tipsters post seems fine - the word is all over Div 3 selections

but today i couldn't post that last entry without the spaces...

I know. It's a little difficult to work out without some input from the moderator.

The moderator has been an AI bot for months.

swifty - try replacing the letter u with an asterisk. Worked for me anyway

They've deleted my table twice now. Horses' names must have been ok yesterday for them to have been picked up by the spreadsheet. Inserted an asterisk to stop it being cut:
La*Pinsonniere, Sunray*Shadow, Darkened*Edge, Yok*kell, Brun*hilde, Fire*Thunder, Cam*peona, South*Shore, South*Dakota, Sunrise@Dawn, Haa*derr, Spinning*Around Any ideas anybody? |
|
By:
Yes I see that's worked in your division KC and I've tried it in Division 1 just now. Let's see if it stays there.
imlac - Can't explain yours at all. salmon spray says the moderator is an AI bot so maybe there's a glitch - maybe once it starts deleting it gets a bit trigger happy. |

and there's another thing - look at madhatter's posts at 11:13 and 11:14. Earlier today the 11:13 post didn't appear as is evident in the wording of the 11:14 post.

"forum@betfair.com" seems to be an email addy for the mods.
Just sent them an email and received an automated response so at least it was delivered. |
|
By:
I posted this table in the normal place but it disappeared a few minutes later.
|
|
By:
Looks like Reged's table has also been disappeared.

Lord alone knows what they're playing at.
Curiouser and curiouser. |

The Division 1 table is in Labs Chat as the first item on a thread.

Thanks KC
It doesn’t really explain why the valid tables keep disappearing. So I’ll keep a low profile and hope for the best. |

Is it possible some prude is objecting to one or two forum names ?
The leader of the Premiership is one that could upset an awfully delicate soul. Have Reged and s-t got anybody with similar names ? If the situation doesn't improve in the next day or two I certainly will be emailing in fairly strong terms and I hope others will. |

By:
Sorry the forumite I was thinking of is actually 2nd in the Premiership, plus I note imlac's table is surviving.
God knows what is going on but my understanding is that for years the forum has not been proactively moderated but has relied on people reporting posts, though there are also some words which seem to be on a banned list. |

Looks to me as if the 'mods' reply to KC was AI generated.
In the old days a reply would have ended with the mod-in-question's Christian name being displayed. |
