learning thegame found a very nice 9/1 winner to take the early lead, but he was overtaken by soldieroffortune who takes the title with a terrific  14/1 cracker. After no title in the last 16 years or whatever it is, he's now nabbed 2 in 4 months. Well done to him, and commiserations to learning thegame.

Other good final day winners were found by old applejack who surges 12 places into 5th pulling off a 9/2 touch, and Storm Alert who jumps 8 places into 12th bringing home a 3/1 nap.

Going close was Caffrey The Cat with a decent price effort.

I will be on a plane to Portugal for a week from very early tomorrow so might have to endure a couple of -£1 before my return. You can put me down for Golden Ace 4.00 Cheltenham March 10 as well but I might be back in time to confirm that one. I normally behave quite well in the comps so apologies for being a pain on the first day.
