Reged was a well deserved winner this month. He went on this incredible run (which was continued to day with a 7/4 winner) of eight odds-against winners in the last eight days of the month and so drew steadily away from his rivals. I don't think I've seen a winning streak like that before. Congratulations and well done!
posy, Draw1, salmon spray and dukeofpuke were the other 4 promoted napsters. January seemed to be a month that catered for the high percentage napsters and this was the reward for consistent tipping. Well done. Hard luck for Sir Rembrandt who saw a 22/1 shot finish in second place. Commiserations to the four going down - I'm sure we'll see you back here soon. |

I will look into this. |

The 2.50 Lingfield result was a dead heat.
The 2 selections which have been settled as 'abandoned' were posted well before the inspection times which led to the abandonments. |
|
By:
thank you st
and no im not drunk ss do you not see my point or are you drunk or short of intelligence and abusive |

The 2 selections which have been settled as 'abandoned' were posted well before the inspection times which led to the abandonments.
indeed but the point is thet were abanoded at 8.00 am and they had time to reselect which they did not. many others did there has to be a -1 deduction for failing to reselect surely - jusyt like others were at leaopardstown |

Re your point about re-selection in the case of abandonments: The settlers try to be even handed about this. The hard and fast rule that they have to go on is the posting time as opposed to the inspection time. There may be some circumstances where a napster tries to gain an advantage by this type of posting. There again a napster may look at the racecards, make his selection and not refer to any racing news for the rest of the time until the results are in. Discretion and gut feeling have to be used and I have done that in this case. |
|
By:
totally ridicouls imvho both were abandoned at 8.00am so if you dont take a point off if no reselection then punters know that they will not get a point reduction whicjh in the case of ss saves them.
you need to re think this as it is patently incorrect and unfair to punters who have reselected and those who have made legitimate selections. yoursomean has been unfairley treated here along ith all other competitors |
|
By:
Thank yoy s-t. I don't think there was any reason last night to feel that Wetherby would be off. Obviously at this time of year it is difficult to be sure.
Maybe we should all pick on the a/w. ![]() |
|
By:
Well done Reged
good luck in the Premier league to you and all the promoted napsters Thanks for a well run league as always swift-tuttle ![]() |
|
By:
Please explain how youresomean has been unfairly treated.
|
|
By:
i have in the above threads but for clarification
diligent harry won the 2.50 at lingfield anfd he should have 7 points. and therefore promoted. wetherby was abandonded at 8.00am giving punters ample time to reselect. those who did not shd be dedected 1 point which means that ss shd not be promoted hth |
|
By:
just checked the results at lingfield - it was a dh - it was awarded to dh when i was watching this afternoon. they must have changed that - apolofgies.
point 2 still stands |
|
By:
I have just posted the competition rules on the Sunday Division 1 thread.
Please show me the rule which supports your point 2. |
|
By:
you tell me the rule that doesnt might be easier for clarification.
u need to rethink the rules on this on for sure |
|
By:
He can't.
|
|
By:
Betfair did originally settle with Diligent Harry as the outright winner and then resettle as a dead heat. Maybe that is why the Dragon posted as he did.
Good luck to all promoted. |
|
By:
maybe you need to add a rule that covers abandoned meetings coz it aint there in enough detail.
maybe something like. if a meeting is abanonded then competitors need to re select from go ahead meetings within the given time frames. if no selection is made then the -1 point rule will apply . i think that might help avouid todays ufortunate position when ss et al benefited from the abandonement - no offence ss just using u as an example |

14 Jan 26 16:41 Joined: 07 Sep 01 It's always tricky to determine if the poster is just trying to avoid a loss with a 'free hit' Another factor I've seen over the years, especially at this time of the year, is a poster choosing a selection the evening before, when it is well known the meeting has only a 0-10% chance of going ahead. Tough for settlers to decide. Rather you than me. My post earlier this month, on a thread about deliberately picking non-runners |

Take a chill pill its a friendly no money comp.
Now I would love a £10 monthly comp. No SP RPost odds on. No duplicate selections. BFSP. No Post -1. |
