Congratulations to FatPunt who has won the Ayr Western BMC. FP selected four 2pt winners over the first two days - Brielle 11-4, Surrey Belle 85-40, Aspiral 4-1 and Penelope's Sister 3-1. Very well done!
Moose had 2pts on the Gold Cup hero Run Boy Run 12-1 and earns a share of the runner-up spot.
I won't be making it a hat-trick of wins in the overall comp but my lucky pin did belatedly come good with a pt on Midnight Lion 25-1, so I will at least make it onto the leaderboard after 11 comps
Aquarius made it five winners over the three days with picks on Almeric 13-8 and Nobody knows 5-4.
The Ayr Western meeting is certainly big on competitiveness which earns it a place on the BMC series, and winner-finding was tough over the three days, but Lampus, Pedro39a and tictacman1 did enough to win overall points.
The 2025 BMC season draws to a close next week with the Newmarket Cambridgeshire meeting.
