Well here we are again on the first day of the latest edition of this competition. I assume that most will delay posting this week until Cheltenham starts, but if anyone has any stunner to start off today, feel free to post it! I hope you are all refreshed and have adjusted your training to peak at the right time. Good luck to everyone and if anyone is going to be unable to post any week, could they notify as soon as possible so that a wildcard selection can be made in plenty of time.

I am seriously thinking of going for a horse whose last three runs have been PPP, Stay Away Fay. I think someone should maybe persuade me not to do this in this competition. Any views welcome

25/1 or better for a P Nicholls horse in a handicap...you know it's worth a dabble......maybe?!

2nd run back after a wind op...should strip a lot fitter than in December when it was coming back from an 8 month break...

I wouldn’t put you off on the basis that I have put Crebilly up as my pick in the ultima. Think both of them were going on at the finish in the 2.5 miler at last years festival. Hopefully the step up in distance will help. The 5th and 6th in that race have both franked the form and I am a fan of Sheila Lewis who has done well from her small yard Yard has been quiet in the winter but possibly a change of fortune with a couple running okish recently |

I am going to go for Il Est Francais to win.may need a wildcard for next week as I am away on holiday to Mauritius if the wi fi is good I will try to find a selection but if not up by sat lunch over to you guys.

As our members are currently 1st, 4th 6th 7th and 8th in the National Hunt Big Race competition, surely the competition is ours to lose unless the flat races turn things around!

lockup - if you happen to look in in time, you've used 3pts in the last race of the Cheltenham comp, it's max 2pts.
I don't know if I'll pick today, quite like one in the Midlands National so may wait for that. |
