Pulled up do the the jockey been unable to continue riding due to been hit in the face by a flying shoe and needing medical treatment in almost 50 years backing horses I’ve never had that one

Afternoon Thieves its all looking last minute postings and some cagey choices. We don't need to win this week but if we want to win the fortnight we'd like to have a competitive total by the end of the day. Pins are clearly not taking any chances but we have one of their selections covered by hilly. Difficult to know what to do until more selections go onto the selections thread........

Very unfortunate there jimnast did all that was expected just beaten by one better handicapped horse - brave effort

Looked all over the winner from 3 out but we couldn't see that winner in running until it swooped like a peregrine falcon . Unlucky Jimnast.

Yes ran we’ll just glad it wasn’t the third horse that won as I was between the two but having watched it go from 33/1 to 14/1 I got the hump and just backed the ed Dunlop horse incidentally the trainer of the third is very good at his job lovely fellow and very hard working if I ever got back into ownership I wouldn’t hesitate to send him a horse

I play fantasy ownership jimnast and spend a lot of money at Goffs Donny breeze ups
fortunately its lots of monopoly money, some success but far too many losses
& thats without any monthly bills, but when its all free ...just a bit of fun

As per usual id like to hit the toughest race of the weekend, the Northumberland Plate. Golden Rules was 2nd at 9/2 two years ago and missed a season. He has had a prep run and comes back here @ 9s of a 4lb lower mark. Ive backed him and will do 5ew as 16 points may help us if only placed. Should i go win only?

Yes Nawshan, its S**t or bust on this occasion, place points are no good at this point but a 9/1 winner on the nose could be!

Well as Dessie says 'we gave it a go' and that is really appreciated
When the next version of the comp emerges nobody will be interested in who finished 2,3,4th last time
To win two rounds of this comp was[b] outstanding[/b] as the regulars will readily applaud
One or two of us may well have peaked a few years ago but you have not lost your competitive spirit
To the newcomers who joined us many many thanks not knowing what you were letting yourselves in for
on top of whatever you played already it was quite a commitment
We hope you enjoyed it and you are more than welcome to return
A few of us have been put out into the paddocks more than a few years ago
and we keep getting pulled back into training to keep Undecideds numbers up always a good sign of a healthy stable
Sorry to say some of us have to accept our standards may slip but we are not passed hitting some highlights
Reality - we just enjoy the challenge and a bit of fun

Thanks to you all for making it entertaining enjoy your relaxing summer

Firstly, FANTASTIC individual points score nawshan and all things considered, a GREAT comp for the team. Almost everything went right for us in this final session to win.From our dismal start, we climbed a mountain and just failed to reach the top first.

Stewpot only if you don't want to continue would I ever take the captaincy! You are El Capitano Fantastico. 

I look forward to the next comp, I need to get my wrong selections out of my system and the only way to do it is select more winners! Like you Stewpot I hope we are all back for the next comp if UD continues his unselfish dedication to us all. Nashwan, Rasperry and Tommy thanks for joining our squad and being as reliable as our long standing players. Thats what makes a great team.
