GLASGOWCALLING was a well deserved winner this month because he was so consistent - finished with a 58% strike rate and the vast majority of his winners were odds-against.
He took over from Treesome with a 3/1 winner on the 22nd July and didn't look back until the end of the month. Just steadily increased his lead with a number of modestly priced odds-against winners. Congratulations GLASGOW and very well done! Treesome was up there throughout and promotion was never really in doubt. On another month his score could easily have won the Division. The other three to be promoted are feed the goat, NonVintage and suffolkpunch who came with a storming run to nick fifth place. Well done to all the promoted. Top price of the day at 5/1 went to majorupshotbagley who didn't really fancy his chances of escaping the drop but did so by leap-frogging the unlucky Theresa Croude. Commiserations to the five going down - we'll see you back here again soon no doubt. |
