A new year but no change to the rules. Any newcomers are very welcome to take part in this competition where everyone gets a £9.60 daily stake which has to be used in a placepot perm with a minimum of 16 lines (16 x 60p) and a maximum of 96 lines (96 x 10p). Scoring is calculated on a monthly basis so there will be 12 winners during the year. It is a fun competition and I always think a three figure return is special and the last two years we have had 29 and 27 of these throughout the year. Let us see if we can improve on these returns in 2024.

We had 3 returns from Lingfield today but today's best return was from Chelmsford City where suffolkpunch got a 30p share of their £105.10 dividend for a £31.53 return. Over at Lingfield Flemenstar got a £1.60 share, Lampus a 80p share and qqking a 34p share of their £16.90 dividend for returns of £27.04, £13.52 and £5.75.

A couple of returns today both from Newbury with Lampus getting a 30p share and qqking a 26p share of their £29.60 dividend for returns of £8.88 and £7.70. As a result Lampus moves up two places into 3rd place

qqking is today's only scorer with what I think is an incredible 18th return this month for him with a 52p share of Exeter's £24.30 dividend for a £12.64 return but that is not enough to catch suffolkpunch who is the first monthly winner this year with an impressive £351.83 total helped by the only three figure return of the month.
