NonVintage shows us all how to get a nice placepot return by making his selections before the declarations had been made and as a result ending up with a £1.20 share of Lingfield's £497.50 dividend for a £597.00 return. I suppose the only downside may be that he perhaps did not have it for real money.This is the 2nd highest return this year.

I did have it for real - actually for slightly more. I have been at a wedding in Gouda, NL and wasn't sure if I'd have access to betting sites!

Not quite sure how I feel about this overall though - definitely casts a greyish shadow of doubt on the value of form study!!! :D

Very well done NonVintage. I suppose this is a bit of aftertiming but I was originally going to post my placepot at Lingfield but as my one selection in the last leg, Level Up was a non-runner changed to Ascot instead. I would have ended up with a 60p share of Lingfield's placepot if I had posted with the favourite in the 6th leg.

That's bad luck Aquarius - I think most of us probably share that pain of reselecting to replace non-runners, or switching to other tracks. Occasionally, it works out but the chagrin when it doesn't is familiar territory!!!
