I have known GLASGOW on here for 10 years or more and he isn't the type who would try to cheat imo. On the other hand on my computer and presumably s-t's he appears to have posted 15 mins AFTER the off-time. poppydog's indeed wasn't on the face of it posted within the hour but it was well before the race started. It's very difficult for the settlers, but I think it has to be left up to s-t and his decision should be accepted.

salmon given that the Betfair clock clearly has some issues, the answer is pretty obvious - to avoid any doubt simply post selections well in advance of the time of the race ...... however given that Glasgow is clearly just a simple, menial servant to Paul, I doubt very much that he has the basic intelligence to do that.

You and others saw and may still see the time of my selection being 12-05, But as I am sick of saying my clock is still an hour in front,so i actually posted at 11-05 Real Time. Read the thread on the main forum .... Thicket.

The first race today is at 12.30 …… I checked the clock a few minutes ago - the big hand was on the 12 and the little hand was on the 9, which means it’s “9 o’clock”.
I’ll check in a bit later to see if you’re getting the hang of it.

I accept Box Of Frogs selection as being a true time because I can verify it from the e-mail clock. I therefore accept GLASGOW's time of 12:05 as being a true time.

Wd s-t. I think that has to be the right decision. My clock is wrong again after being correct for a few days after the weekend. Everybody knows they can't get the clock right but most of us thought it was incorrect for everybody in the same way. It's becoming ridiculous.

This is all above my paygrade. I've had no probs in Div 3. I don't suppose Glasgow's problem is with his own computer not picking up the new time?
Anyway, just wanted to clarify one thing s-t. You said you were mistaken in putting it down as an invalid entry but that is not correct. Once a person has posted he/she loses the option of a 'rest day'
Rule 3 - Selections must be posted[/b] AT LEAST 1 hour before your selected race and all horses must be named. Failure to comply will result in the selection being declared Invalid and treated as a Non Selection. See rule 8.

Yes s-t, I see your point. I can't remember how we ended up with this combo of words now but I think there is a logic. Rule 8 starts with the immortal phrase On any day that a competitor does not post
Once having posted they lose the 'rest day' option. So treating it as a Non selection means deducting a point while declaring it invalid, if you get my drift

Pardon me for putting my oar in but the rules are there to tell people what not to do. The final rule, the settlers decision is final should always be adhered to.
