They need to change the rules imo, probably a 1/3rd of Premier division putting up the shortest priced horse of the day and when they're near the relegation positions they stop posting a selection, hoping those that do pick losers, rather sad imo.

Alternatively split the bet and allow each ways, more likely to go for bigger odds. However,the current system is easier for the administrators and the rules are simpler. The one thing i have noted is that you can stay in the prem with lots of successful shorties, but you can't win it.

You can win it with one long-priced winner ( not necessarily on the last day ) and a bunch of shorties as long as half of those win.

yes, you can. But at some point you have to go for it. And those who just get regular shorties often lose out to somebody who has a shot. The rules are simple and i enjoy it, for me thats what it is about.
