Congratulations to la mallatiere who follows up his Newmarket Craven comp victory by winning the Chester May one, and is already the odds-on favourite for the overall title!
la mallatiere finished each of the three days in profit, his two winners today being El Astronaute 15-8 and Green Book 5-1.
Dukeofpuke had two points on 16-1 winner Dark Pine, and finishes just two points behind in second place.
THE MUFF FUFFLER missed the first two days, but put in a mighty effort today to literally miss out on winning the comp by just a neck. TMF's three winners were Grove Ferry (5-1, 2pts), Cup winner Falcon Eight (15-2) and Dark Pine, and his fourth selection Fox Tal, was only caught in the final stride after looking all over the winner.
Knight Commander finished days one and two in profit, and ends the comp in fourth place.
Reigning champ lockup and adamanty both end the meeting in profit and win overall points.
The overall points thread will be updated shortly.
The next comp comes up quickly and is the York Dante meeting next week.
