Wonder Boy prevailed over Inside The Box by virtue of a 10/3 chance on the final day. It had been nip and tuck over the last few days but Wonder Boy's form over the last ten days has been remarkable. Winners of 11/4, 5/1, 7/2, 10/11, 8/1 and 10/3 is from that is difficult to live with and Wonder Boy's victory is well deserved.
top2rated zoomed up the table from the bottom with a smashing 25/1 chance but it was too late to get into the promotion places.
Returning to the top 5, congratulations to Wonder Boy who returns to the Prem and also to the 4 below him - Inside The Box, qqking. who won with an 11/4 chance today, halcyon days and hoof hearted.
Finishing in sixth place only 0.39 behind was general custer with a decent 13/2 chance today. Unlucky.
But there could have been a different winner this month and it shows why the final day rules are important.
Value-Seeker also chose Zulu Zander at 25/1 (as well as top2rated) but his selection was invalid on two counts.
Firstly it was posted after the first race of the day and secondly it was a duplicate selection in that top2rated has already posted it.
But if Value_Seeker had posted before 7:38am ...
Commiserations to the 5 who drop down to Division 2 - I'm sure it won't be long before we see you back here again.
