If you can't post to the forum you can always send an email to napscomp@gmail.com. Put the division name in the subject and your full forum name by itself on the first line. Put your selection on the second line - format should be the usual:

Cheers soldier - he's certainly made a difference coming back.
I think we're all prepared to forgive the Stoke episode for now but how long before he does it again is my concern.
Anyway, I need to pick some winners otherwise big keef will be happy at the end of this month!

Well it would be harsh to dock someone a point because they're a few minutes late. Don't think the rules are clear about the situation - this is how I've always settled it before in the Prem. And he hadn't taken a rest day so far this month, so he wasn't trying to pull a fast one.

I see the selection for Cloughie1 yesterday has caused a bit of a kerfuffle on there but tbh i dont see why it should have done so .Ok so the selection was posted after a horse had been declared a non runner but surely rules 3 and 8 sort of cover this sort of eventuality.
Selections can be invalid for various reasons but it cant be fair that an invalid selection is punished by the deduction of a point .
To use the betting shop as an example if you place an invalid selection what would happen - answer you would get your money back and they certainly wouldnt penalise you .
I know the comps are a bit different but you do have the 5 non posting days rule to fall back on if supposed skullduggery was being engaged but in this case thats just absurd as the email was sent at 4.19pm a good hour and a half before Wonderboys selection was due to run so where was any advantage to be gained when Wonderboys horse could well have romped in long before the other selection was even due to run.
I could understand if all non-posting days had been used up but that clearly wasnt the case here so surely common sense should prevail and by all means deduct a posting day as basically its a non selection under the rules but its pretty harsh to deduct a point in these circumstances imo

1 - It applies for any day that a competitor does not post a valid selection. (This is my interpretation)

3 - It only applies if a competitor posts nothing at all. If he posts simply a smiley then he will lose a point.

The rules aren't perfect - we aren't lawyers after all, but I think the intention was clear. If someone doesn't post it is taken that he/she wants to take the day off and is given a rest day. This replaces an old more complicated system which I've mostly forgotten but did involve settlers having to effectively do the selections for them while they were away.
But if someone posts a smilie or comment but no selection that too is taken to mean he wants the day off for napping purposes.
