Surely the league placings and totals will stand whatever as they presumably would if the weather caused cancellation of the rest of the month?
My question is, if Irish racing was to continue (unlikely i think) then would people have to select from there or use a grace day. The rules would suggest so... |

Best to leave it altogether or the time being. I feel many would not be interested in just Irish
racing say 3/4 days a week and would then lose interest in the comp altogether. |

Makes no difference to me but, trying to look at it objectively, if the tables are immobilsed and relegation/promotion occurs then those currently in drop zones will be unhappy and those in promo spots will be happy...
And of course if ups/downs are suspended for the month the feelings will be reversed. As Irish racing is included in the competition and there are 10 scheduled meetings on 8 of the 13 days left in the month there is plenty of time for people to improve their positions (or vice verse) before the end. HRI have said they will only have one meeting per day so one can assume they will probably move two fixtures to give 10 days racing over the last 13 days of the month, starting with Dundalk on Friday. Feels like continuing as normal could be the fairest way to conclude the month....? And, before tipsters start to complain that they don't follow Irish racing, I would suggest that doesn't cut the ice because, irrespective of anyones personal preferences, if there was just one UK NH meeting or AW meeting per day I guess we would be expected to pick from that... Just a thought. Mad. |
