An Irishman had been drinking at a pub all night. The bartender finally said that the bar was closing. So the Irishman stood up to leave and fell flat on his face. He tried to stand one more time; same result. He figured he'll crawl outside and get some fresh air and maybe that will sober him up.

Once outside he stood up and fell flat on his face. So he decided to crawl the 4 blocks to his home. When he arrived at the door he stood up and again fell flat on his face. He crawled through the door and into his bedroom.

When he reached his bed he tried one more time to stand up. This time he managed to pull himself upright, but he quickly fell right into bed and was sound asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

He was awakened the next morning to his wife standing over him, shouting, "So, you've been out drinking again!!"

"What makes you say that?" he asked, putting on an innocent look.

"The pub called -- you left your wheelchair there again."

In fairness to DG, he regularly puts up selections on the main forum where Southwell AW is his specialty. Not an odds on in sight. I`m sure there`s a logical reason why there are four divisions, but it is really only a vehicle for odds on merchants who permanently live in fear of relegation and clog up the premier table when they eventually get there. The fact that some (only some) of you guys like to refer to yourselves as the elite is even more laughable. While I appreciate the efforts of those who run the competitions and provide the monthly stats, I think the strike rate table is a waste of time and only encourages the odds on brigade. A single division for all would confine these characters permanently to somewhere just above mid table mediocrity which is where they really belong. It might even encourage them to be a bit more creative in their selections. At the end of the day they had to come out of their boxes to get to the top table in the first place.

I can only speak for myself but as far as I'm concerned "the elite" is a joke/banter. I may be wrong but I think it was Norfolk who coined the term,derisively obviously.
I give you credit for taking part kkkatt. I've realised you are a current player since my last post,unlike DG who certainly isn't (not sure whether he ever has been ).
The idea of having one big division has been mooted before but you would be going from the sublime to the ridiculous. Without the threat of relegation,and presumably 80 or 90 runners,you would need at least £60 profit to have any hope of winning it so people would just be putting up 33-1 shots.
I'm glad you've realised that to get to The Premiership we all have to be promoted several times ( 8 over the years in my case ).
I would also point out that I disappeared from ud's strike rate table months ago and it's not amongst my aims to get back into it.
That's my last post today as I am aware poor lmiac has to sort through all this twaddle.
