I won't be able to do all the meetings this year and tomorrows results are unlikely to be posted until Wednesday morning. Should be ok for Chester and York next month and we'll go from there.

If you wish Trusty, I can commit to scoring the comp for this season. What is the overall points structure ie how many points does the winner, runner-up, etc receive for each comp?

Hi George B that is a very kind offer and I am happy to take the reserve seat if you need back-up on certain days.
There has never been any system for scoring the whole season and last year I just did cumulative scores and penalised no-shows with the maximum loss for the meeting, although I am not sure if that is fair or if there is any method that is perfect; so you could do as you please.
I have some formatted xl's from last year for scoring if you would like them? If so PM me your email address.
Thanks
Trusty

Thanks Trusty. I was thinking maybe score it the way we do in the AW comp, with points down to 10th place, and perhaps that is a better way than penalising non-shows?
Thanks for offering the formatted xls, but I'll just put the scores into a simple table format.
I was going to propose 10 meetings, which I think covers all the main ones, with a new addition being the Ayr Western meeting in September, but I can leave that out if you want?

Hi George...it has always been my contention that if you run the comp then you decide the rules! Sounds like a good plan to me and everyone knows the score from the beginning.

Cheers Trusty. I'll start an overall points thread with the dates and stuff on, but I'll make a slight amendment to what I said above and make the cut off point for overall points allocation at 6th place.
