Not a cat in hell's chance of the meeting being on!

The meeting was still on when I put the nap up.You don't realise the nuances of the competition Norfolk which is why your alter-ego is back languishing at his correct level.
And as a matter of fact I DID miss out yesterday as,unlike a few I hadn't twigged there were likely to be abandonments so I was stuck with the a/w which is not my cup of tea. I would probably have followed the lemmings and picked the rather obvious 4-11 loser but I showed my independence of thought by swerving it because it was ridden by a certain jockey   Happy
I did lose my last non-picking day though. I just hope they don't abandon meetings too early for the rest of the month    Silly

How anyone can try to justify this practice is beyond me. Crowing on an anonymous forum about being part of the ' Premier' is laughable.

When he was actually in it I think Norfolk did more of that than anybody.

I always looked at the premier division as being populated by folk who have talent but don`t use it in the comp.

not just salmon thats done it for years is it Norfolk - i hold my hands up and admit that i have taken advantage of an obvious loophole in the system in recent past when my own or other peoples thoughts on the matter were brushed aside .

Most of the time ive usually picked again the next day anyway but hey ho it is what is so you play against the opponents you are matched with LaughLaughLaugh

Simple solution to all these shenanigans though would be for a simple rule to be introduced by settlers along the lines of.......

Where a selection is made the night before at a meeting that is subject to a morning inspection, should the said meeting be abandoned then forumites are required to make a new selection or otherwise forfeit one of their non-posting days

That would in a flash take away the loophole but its been suggested before and nowt done about it so nee point moaning on when no current rules are being broken GrinGrinGrin

selections where :

inspection at 7am
second preference

The horse racing comp version of injury time subs , taking the ball into the corner.......mind for the prize money you can understand it.

aye sixtwosix but as has already been pointed out the premier league is a different animal LaughLaughLaugh and if you aint in it you cant win it ........ survival at all costs WinkWinkShockedShocked

Actually I think smirnoff's suggestion is sensible and I would have no problem with it,though I don't know about the settlers. At the moment though as he says neither he nor I,nor quite a few others, not confined to the Premiership last night, are breaking the rules. While one of us can do it the rest are going to if they are in any danger of relegation.
Incidentally I thought it was Dubai Prince who tried to get the rules changed some years ago. Must be my mistake.

I wonder if you could choose not ro select on every day of the month......how many would break rank and select a horse.

He did salmon.

You have always got to be mindful of the settlers. It`s not so much the workload, it`s every bleedin day. To settle has to be as simple and free of hurdles as possible.

We need to introduce champions league above the premier GrinGrin
