You can all tell me its none of my business and it isnt but have you all no shame. Twelve people picked a 30/100 winner and two picked a 2/5 winner - if one could do that every day fine but ......... After all you are the premier division so surely you can do a bit better than that. I know I know I know - I am only in the 3rd division but what can I do with guys picking winners at unimaginable prices -  even 66/1. Just hope and pray that you dont get relegated a couple of times and get stuck with that lot down there. They're crazy.

Arkle - you have to understand the mindset of these people - apart from maybe a dozen of them that truly try to win it, the rest are only interested in avoiding relegation.
At no time except in the last couple of days will that subset pick anything other than the shortest price favourite they can find.
Then, when they feel 'safe', they will try to find some lucky longshot to win them the title.

Having said that, if we were any good we should be able to get promoted and beat them so we have little to complain about.

I always liken them to when Alan Keyte was in the Racing Post naps table? He used the same modus operandi........and always struggled to show any profit over a season.

However, I reiterate......if we were any good then they shouldn't be hard to overtake!...........

I remember Arkle being 1-6. In a handicap !

It is a completely different gig the prem to div3 for obvious reasons. We now have 5 up 5 down every month so in theory
in 6 month time we could have a completely different set of 30 napsters competing in the prem. It`s up to the rest like I and all
the others have to rise from div 3 and knock those at the top of their perch.

Many comments have been made over the years re shorties. I don`t mind the comments above at all but some in the past have
been very aggressive and disrespectful with their views and comments.

Shane , I once napped one at evs in a 3 runner race where the outsider was a 100-1 shot. If the other one had been a late non-runner I would have been left with a 1-50 shot

If a rule comes in that you can't pick shorties, then it's reasonable to suggest you shouldn't pick
anything over 10/1 in the last day or two.

People use skill and graft for a whole month, to get to the top area of the table,
only for them to get pipped by a lottery-pick merchant, who picks a longshot,
that they wouldn't even bother looking at or considering for the previous 30 days.

It was the person who finished 2nd to the 66/1 guy, that deserves consideration.

poppy - fully understand what you`re saying, not too many in the premier even though safe attempt it, I know some do which
includes me. The guy or gal at the top is there to be shot at really.

I never seem to be safe on the last day any more   

.... and it's nice to see the 1/20 shots, like last Wed, occasionally fall in a hole

When I took over settling I must admit to rolling my eyes lets say at the number of odds on shots napped. You` d be surprised at how
many do the same in the other divisions.

My personal view is it is within the rules but would like to see less. People have squabbled and fallen out at times over it.
That frustrates me as it is only a game so to speak, defo a bit of fun.

I have suggested more than once in the past a cap on prices (odds on) which I thought was an ideal solution but not enough
people seemed to back it.

Exactly poppy, look at the 1/4 & 1/5 shots that lost recently.

We all have different objectives.

Personally, I`m here to win it, also with an eye on the rolling tables. My main motivation 18months ago was to show a profit
to isp during the calendar year of 2014 which I managed.
