1 - You have to choose 1 horse each day. Winners will be returned at SP/Industry Prices and stake is 1 point. If no SP/Industry Price is returned winning selections will be settled as non-runners.
2 - All UK and Irish races are eligible along with the Dubai Festival and the Sunday Arc de Triomphe meet.
3 - Selections must be posted AT LEAST 1 hour before your selected race. Failure to comply will result in the selection being declared Invalid and treated as a Non Selection. See rule 8.
4 - Selections may be changed as long as it is at least 1hr prior to the original race OR if the selection is a NR or deemed invalid ( Rule 3 MUST still be adhered to).
5 - Rule 4 and Dead Heat rules will apply to SP/Industry Prices.
6 - Sunday selections will be optional unless it is the last day of the month. On optional Sundays there will be no deductions for non-posters and Rule 8 will not apply.
7 - LAST DAY RULES for the last day of the month : all selections must be made BY THE SCHEDULED OFF TIME OF THE FIRST RACE of the day, you can't choose a horse already selected by another competitor in the same division, and only named horses are allowed.
8 - On any day that a competitor does not post (excluding Sundays and final days) they will automatically revert to a Rest Day, which will be settled as an optional day Non selection .However, once the total of such Rest Days for a month reaches five, further days when no selections are made in that month will be classed as a losing No-selection
9 - Reserve selections will only be allowed to cover the possibility of a meeting being abandoned.
10 - In the event of a tie the person who has used least rest days will be deemed to finish above the person they have tied with.
11 - In the event of a major Betfair upgrade which may affect the ability to post on the Forum before racing starts that day will have Sunday rules applied (ie. no deduction for non-posters).
12 - Quite often, things can crop up that aren`t strictly covered by the above rules (grey areas) in these instances please abide by the individual settler`s decision/ruling.
No Nap for me tomorrow China I have had a 30 minute look but nothing is tempting. (it's good to be back) I have had a good couple of months on the betting front so don't want to start throwing my money away on poor races. Let's see how long it takes FUEY to grab his tenner.

you are getting good value there at evens especially with you being a winner of the prem 4 times so far and me with a highest ever finish of 6th in Div 1 the true odds should be. 4/9 HKF 2/1 petemac so if you want to offer me the 2/1 you may not feel as guilty as you are gonna when I hand over the £20?

China, just a small query on a technical point. I would not want to make a fuss but if you could please clear up Rule 8 for me. The last day rule seems to exclude N.Rs ( in this case Clondaw Kaempfer 1.55 Carl.) as a rest day normal non reduction from a total score. I'm not sure about yesterdays results table but, as I say no hastle from me, I'm probably all mixed up anyway!
Thanks China,
KM.

Its my understanding that a non-runner on any day has no deduction as it would be unfair on the poster. I will check with the other settlers though as I'm still fairly new to this settling lark.
Can't believe how unlucky you were not to get promoted with 16 winners on the trot and then a very late non-runner possibly costing you promotion. Hope you have better luck this month.

Just noticed someone picked the same horse in Division 3 and they haven't been deducted a point either so I think a non-runner counts as no deduction whatever day.

We have had minor disagreements in the past re n/r`s, that was when napsters have napped a horse that had been withdrawn say 1 hour earlier then was posted on here.
In these instances I just kept an eye on future posts because other napsters thought that it was a deliberate ploy. I never suspected anyone thjough.

This was a non-runner in the last half hour before the race so there wasn't a problem . Just wasn't sure I'd missed a rule where last day non- runners were deducted a point , saw reg had settled it the same so happy with that .
I guess your referring to things like Annie Power being selected a day after it was announced a non-runner.

In a nutshell, I just ruled with common sense. If a nap was posted after it was with drawn I`d mention it but was happy to accept, just monitored it really. Don`t think there would be many who would deliberately select a n/r.
Also, many don`t have constant access to the net during working hours.
I had to ask cloughie (was it)? to re-select on Saturday for obvious reasons. I don`t like people posting for the final day too early unless there is a good reason. Then it was already a n/r

Just off out in a minute Shane but I wonder about the very early postings on the final day. It seems to get worse every month. Unless someone is on holiday or away surely no one should be able to post a final day selection until the thread goes up.

It is simply the racing Shane (unknown and poor quality to me) as you well know, since I have been on here I think I have only failed to post on a Sunday 2 or 3 times as I think the racing is usually better on a Sunday than most Mondays and Tuesdays. I have had a look, I have spent about 40 minutes going through the 2 jump meetings and even had a 5 minute glance at the all weather.
