Salmon I have just read the ruling on the reserve am I right in saying because my selection is in the 2.30 there is no way I can place a reserve tonight with me being away in the morning?
If so what is the reasoning behind this? |

Hi petemac, in the past we had no reserves at all, if you weren't around to replace a non-runner, or if it was after the cut-off time then selection was lost. This wasn't a problem for years although occasionally a team would not be able to use all their eight.
Someone once had the idea to start posting reserves and I allowed it. However I'm not keen on it being available all week long, so if I am to draw a line somewhere it would be the 3pm cut-off. That's the current state, further discussions to take place on this subject with a view to a rule change, opinions welcome. |

No reserves at all seems fair enough to me. You don't want it getting too messy. |

There is for instance the option to replace any non-runners with LRF or Fav in the race of original selection or similar.
