Winner........Aquarius - Excellent job! Bally Legend, 28/1 winner of the Betbright Chase provided the biggest chunk of points but 19 of the 28 were scoring rounds underlining a great consistent effort! Happy



Runner-up.......dunter1 - Super effort, again had Bally Legend for a point as a standout score, but notably consistent scoring throughout!


3rd.........trev w - 2pts on Bally Legend again! It was the single biggest score, jointly with Aquarius, plenty of other scoring, very well done!


4th........shanelee1966 - Best efforts were the 14/1 winner of the Coral Cup, Whisper, and 28/1 Classic runner-up Carruthers, congratulations on 4th place!

5th........undecided - Led to half-way, faded, but I'm very pleased with 5th in such exalted company, Welsh National winner Mountainous, 20/1, and Grand National Trial winner Rigadin De Beauchene, 16/1, were my highlights.

6th.......Navel-Gazer - Top scored in the Welsh National with Mountainous and had 33/1 Cheltenham runner-up Ma Filleule, nice work!

7th.......china castle - 14 scoring efforts, best of which was the Hennessy third, 33/1 Theatre Guide, well done on a top ten finish.

8th........old applejack - 17 scoring rounds, topped by the Ladbroke 10/1 winner, Willow's Saviour, good season!

9th.......stephaniebot - Led the competition in the early stages with single point victories in the Hennessy, 20/1 Triolo D'Alene and 20/1 Mountainous in the Welsh National, congratulations on your top ten finish!

10th......adamanty - Rounds off the top ten, just sneaking past TEN2FOLLOWER on the last day, by half a point, 17 scoring races despite missing a couple, very well done.

Two notable efforts outside the top ten - Ming_the_Merciless & stewpot both had the 2nd best individual rounds, finding the Grand National winner no less, 25/1 Pineau De Re.

Firstly, thanks to Undecided for all the time and effort in running this competition and other competitions in such a professional manner. It is certainly much appreciated by myself and I am sure most others on here. Secondly, thanks for all the messages of congratulations; it just goes to show that every dog has his day with one result (Bally Legend's win) being crucial to my success. That, I think was the only race in which I went for 2 points on one selection rather than 1 point on 2 selections, and that would have been crucial in winning at the end of the day. It is humbling to manage to beat some tipsters who I respect as very shrewd on here and I am sure that next year I will be brought crashing down to earth. I have always thought a target of 1000 points was very respectable and to achieve over 2000 has certainly surpassed by wildest expectations. Congratulations to Dunter and all others in the top 10,hopefully everyone will return to resume battle in next year's competition.
