Well, as far as I remember from when we had an argument about this a while back, its quite crucial because if he HAS retired skinto should NOT be relegated!

bettysboy - if you retire from competing, all the effort you've put in to gain two consecutive promotions will be wasted.

As hong kong fooey said, at least carry on competing even if you knock the settling on the head.

No I now retire - I realised that retiring today would affect places so it did not seem fair to me for others to be affected by my decision, so I am retired as of April 1st

KC - Only five to be promoted from division 2 mate.

bettys - obviously I wish we were not having this conversation.

This is where it can get complicated, if you`re retiring on April 1st, you are promoted today, so only three go up with yourself, not four. You are retired tomorrow by myself if you follow me. Skinto would also go down.

If you retire today (now) then that obviously alters the above, in so much as you are bottom (retired) well as per your first table above.

I don`t want you to retire bettys, I`m very unhappy with the whole situation. You deserve your place in the premier.

It`s just that it makes quite a difference whether it`s today or tomorrow as highlighted above.

I've just read through the threads.  BB it would be great if you would continue, even if only as a napster.  You've been a top guy on here for the seven years or so that I've been posting.

I can understand exactly where you were coming from re stepping down as a settler, I would have considered it too in the same circumstances.

Just to clarify the situation, BB didn't post a selection today and he put himself down as RETIRED in the list of 'selections so far' on today's thread, therefore the first table is the correct one and Skinto stays up.

If on the other hand we can manage to talk BB into changing his mind about retiring and taking his rightful place in the Premier, then I'm sure everyone would be delighted and the second table would then be correct.

Gutted Bettysboy I can half understand your decision to quit settling but bewildered by your timing to quit the Premiership after your brilliant effort to get there.
Anyway one final request for you to change your mind and ermmmmmmm oh yes

Defo five KC, it`s easily confused. If bettys retired tomorrow (April) then 6 would go up from div 2 on April 30th/ May 1st because division 1 would be one short.

As he`s retired today (March) four still go up from div 1 and four are still relegated from the premier. Only four instead of five are relegated from div 1 (bb) so div 2 is one short, so six get promoted from division 3. Simples

Extra promotion places:

From Div 2 = retired from premier division 

From Div 3 = retired from premier & division 1

KC - save the above, like an easy reckoner

Reg - six to be promoted from division 3

I think all those that finished down to 20th place should be promoted.

Only way you`ll get back to the premier Andrew
