Straight away after posting i noticed Ardross66 had already posted the same selection i did not expect that because i knew that Ardross needed at least a 9/4 winner
to beat me and an even bigger priced winner to beat unluckyStew P&L.
I was tempted to somehow cancel my selection,but i then relalised that the duplicate would not really affect Ardross because in his postion  nothing less than a winner
would do to see him qualfy, and if it had won both of us would have qualified.

Tingle, no rules broken and the above clarifies things.
At the time I saw it like this - Ardross66 did really need a bigger priced winner, but might have overtaken you on P/L if his had won and you picked a loser, dependent on price.
So it may have looked as if you copied to avoid that scenario but it's obvious from what you say above that that was not the case.
I will probably alter the rule for the next comp to avoid any such ambiguities.
