This is a disgrace and beyond a joke and for me its bending the rules and almost cheating.
No different to the players who post the night before knowing the meeting is 95% certain to be called off and with other meetings On still not re-selecting, like Cowardly Lions.
There is having a craic and spoiling a really good competition. For What?

agreed. why not just select non runners all month then you would have a fair chance of finishing well up the table.

Gents if you don't like people making legitimate selections that are completely within the rules of the competition, you both know where the door is.

Thanks.

Soldier, if you were desperate for a Shi** (couldn't hold it any longer) and the male toilets were out of order, would you use the Ladies toilets or face the consequences of having Shat yourself?
Rules are rules, most of the times these are broken mistakenly, other times deliberately, some times desperately (as above) but in most cases rules are manipulated to gain an advantage that is why it is important for freedom of speech to try and prevent manipulation so why should someone with an alternative view be shown the door, Mrs Thatcher?

pete read the opening line of your thread again.

I don't think any of us anticipated that fellow at Lingfield would go off at 1/20, however that's completely irrelevant anyway. Fact is that the horse was legitimately available for selection within the rules of the competition, and quite a number of people across various Divisions selected him. How in any way is that (quote) "bending the rules and almost cheating"??

I was in the main referring to members posting a nap for a meeting that was almost certainly off the night before and then even after having plenty of time to re-select, not doing so. Hence a free Sunday "level stakes" day on a Tuesday , Wed etc
Regarding the 1/20 shot we have had a lot of good craic about that but i still would like to see a sensible ruling regarding extreme odds on shots.
If you were a paid racing tipster in any newspaper and picked a 1/20 a 1/7 and a 2/13 shot in succession you would be on Jobseekers allowance the next week. Surely these competitions are not about just looking in the newspaper for the biggest odds on shot of the day?
If so my 9 year old daughter might as well join.
