the dealer certainly posted an £80 profit in one of the LOWER divisions.
I got an 8-1 winner in Feb 2011 which is the longest I have noticed in the ELITE Div.

As I understand it this is a gambling competition, so why select an odds on certainty which can still let you down. It would have been a great nap if it had won, but as Healing Hands was quick to point out to me I'm still £1.00 down with all the other losers.

maybe napsters in the premier division should be allowed just to have shortest price runner of the day.would save a lot of them the time and energy from having to post.they are obviously lazy people who cant be bothered to actually study looking for a nap.

They nap odds on in the other divisions, not just those trying to avoid relegation either.

Must say it seems a bit lacking in ambition to go for odds-on at the very start ... understand it if you're in a relegation tussle but surely the aim here is to win the div, and you're not going to do that with odds-oners! (unless of course everyone does it! )

In a perfect world, there would be no divisions (so obviously promotion / relegation wouldn't be an issue) and there'd be a decent prize for the winner / 2nd / 3rd.

But no-one's gonna sponsor the league and no-one's got the time to settle 300 naps (which there would be as soon as some munny was put on the table), so we'll carry on regardless!

But surely promotion and relegation is what makes the comp GEORGE.

Look at your relegation battle last month, no money involved but i`m sure it concentrated your mind and had you thinking about it alot. Similary all the others in all divisions which would number over 50 napsters.

50 napsters who were either looking over their shoulders or hoping to challenge for promotion.

Yes, there`s a handful who obviously place more emphasis on their yearly totals, trying to stay in profit to isp.

There are dozens who play safe for most of the month in div 1 & 2.

pete must be out on the ale, otherwise he`d be all over this thread

talkin about me again? i now dont go for high priced nags cos its a bit too hit and miss - i'm generally concentrating on the evens to 4/1 range, not to play safe but in the hope of stringing enuf together for a challenge ... then maybe if i'm a little way off at the end a brave punt for a final leap ... non-runner scuppered that last month tho!

When you actually look, there`s only a handful who consistently select odds on. With no promotion to aim for preserving status in the premier division is going to be paramount, it means alot to many.

I can understand that ... justb think to go for an odds on on day one is a bit (lot) lame ... in other words the intention is more to stay in the prem than to win it
