Then I can just copy and paste selections to the spreadsheet without having to waste time editing them.

So he's a stalker. It's not an endearing trait.
Vinnies Girl (ridden by McCoy) was selected from the paper, and was not checked prior to posting . . .
That just tells me he's lazy. This defence isn't going well.
If there is an inference that a NR has been chosen deliberately . . .
Far from it. No-one unscrupulous enough to post a non-runner deliberately would pick a horse which was taken out of the market 9 hours previously. They'd pick one which had only just been declared a non-runner because I do allow a leeway of 10 to 15 minutes for genuine mistakes. The inference (if any) is one of gross stupidity above and beyond what is normally expected from Div2 players.
Vinnies Girl was a genuine selection which turned out to be a NR . . .
Nearly right. Vinnies Girl was a selection which was ALREADY a non-runner.
. . . and there can be no justification for penalising the Kiwi for this.
Oh yes there can. It must surely be very obvious that any horse selected must actually be down to run in the race at the time of posting. It simply wouldn't be fair on other players to allow it to stand as a non-runner just because the Kiwi couldn't be bothered to check. To allow it would set a precedent which could be exploited by dastardly players in the future. And let's face it, there are two of them to share the responsibility; why can't the Gerbil be given the job of double-checking selections?
It's possibly the worst defence I've ever had the misfortune to read, but it's given me a good chuckle this morning at a time when I badly need cheering up, so thanks for that.

P.S any news on Cleo
There have been more 3 more possible sightings in the last few days in the town 5 kms away where she was abandoned the day after being stolen. So I've been back there searching on Fri and Sat, as indeed I will be today. Fingers crossed.
