DIVISION 2 FINAL TABLE for SEPTEMBER

* * * * * CONGRATULATIONS TO CHINA CASTLE, DIVISION 2 CHAMPIGNON FOR SEPTEMBER * * * * *

China Castle was Division 3 Champion last month with a total of £42.75. And now he's ended this month with an equally magnificent total of £31.75, peaking at £37.00.
He did it with winners at 16/1, 9/1, 5/1, 15/2, 2/1, 15/2 and 11/4.
That first 16/1 nap rocketed him into 1st place and no-one ever really got close despite him only finding 1 winner in the final 10 days. An excellent win and a worthy champion. I wish you every success in Division 1.

stealthgun finishes in 2nd place with a 6/1 winner.

SilverBuck1 just gets edged out into 3rd but he won't mind that, promotion being the name of the game. Consecutive 7/2 and 10/1 winners a few days ago were what sealed it for him.

ardgirl played truant today but had already done enough (as it turned out luckily) to hang on to a podium finish. We sent her up to Division 1 at the end of July as Champion, but she missed us so much she came straight back down again. She's obviously realised that maybe Div 1 has a bit more going for it after all and she's decided to go back.

And majorupshotbagley takes the 5th podium place with a 5/2 winner.

kwalker finishes in 6th. His 4/5 winner today wasn't quite enough to secure promotion today following yesterday's excellent 10/1 nap. Bad luck.

Monte Christo and Aquarius, who both jumped on the podium yesterday, both jumped off again today. It's been a great promotion battle but it wasn't to be.
sixtwosix and flyingbolt must also be wondering where it all went wrong after having a great month. In the words of Terry Thomas, "Hard cheese".

Well done the 5 of you and the best of luck upstairs.

There were some valiant efforts to avoid relegation at the other end of the table, the closest being CreamyWhiskers who almost managed it but had to settle for 2nd place.

Relegated to Division 3

We all know you're capable of producing the goods but we also all know that misfortune and bad runs are all part of the game.
Give them hell downstairs and bounce right back.

So, our two longest standing members, stealthgun and majorupshotbagley, who've both been in Division 2 since September 2011!!!, finally went and did it.
I never thought I'd live to see the day! My heartiest congratulations to the pair of you. It's been a very long wait!
And if I'm honest, I have to say that after I saw yesterday's results, I really didn't expect either of you to do it today. The fact that both of you managed to get back in the Top 5 today is quite remarkable. If I was a gambling man it's a bet I'm very happy to say I would have lost.
Now get out-a-here and don't let me see either of you again.

SMILEY AWARDS for September
