If my mental arithmetic is correct it looks like Monte Christoand Aquarius have pushed sixtwosix and majorupshotbagley off the podium as we enter the final day. kwalker has also passed them both to take 6th place.

Still waiting for one result - the 8.20 at Wolves.

Scissors, it stems from a long way back when I used to back jumpers, had so many last fence fallers I gave up the jumps, also 3 horses I bet at the Cheltenham festival one year had to be put down. And in most photo finishes my selection just fails to get up or just gets beat. Hope that answers your question mate.

What a great finish to the month we're having.

Top Gnu yesterday was unluckyStu who napped a splendid 12/1 winner. He was less than £1 away from relegation but a rise of +11 places now gives him a great podium chance today.

There were two other excellent winners yesterday who under normal circumstances could have both expected to be top scorer on the day:
kwalker found a 10/1 winner at Navan, and Monte Christo weighed in with a 9/1 shot at Newmarket.

ardgirl and Aquarius also both came good with 4/1 and 9/2 winners respectively.

So what does all that give us?

ardgirl closes the gap on SilverBuck, but with the current form of some players, neither of them are safe bets for promotion.
sixtwosix who was in 4th place yesterday has been unceremoniously dumped down to 9th. He's been doing well this month, spending half the month in the Top 5, but hasn't had a winner since Sep 20th. He'll be searching diligently for a winner to recapture that form today.
Monte Christo and Aquarius now find themselves on the podium, or back on the podium in Monte's case. Aquarius was in the drop-zone a couple of weeks ago but a string of winners have turned it all round.
majorupshot and stealthgun were both hoping to hold position with an odds-on winner but have been thwarted by Monte, Aquarius and kwalker. They've lost ground on the table but are still right there and in with every chance today.
The same goes for 10th placed flyingbolt whose string of recent winners saw him reach the podium from 20th place, but he's dropped back a bit now.

So, I would say that china castle is safe barrring a plethora of extraordinary results today.
Silverbuck and ardgirl - in the balance. Could be safe but can't afford to be complacent.
Monte Christo and Aquarius - a very tenuous hold on 4th and 5th.

They're all in touch, and any of them could win promotion today with the wind in the right direction.

Those are just the ones in the black. I'm certainly not ruling out any of the players in mid-division. Traditionally most challengers go for the big one on the final day, so anything could happen.

Down at the mucky end of the table, tryoffagain and pedro39 continue to edge away from danger with odds-on winners yesterday. But they're still not clear by any means.
There's a great battle for survival being fought, with only £2.56 separating 5 players.
