I can't help it, I get these urges, I'm barmy! 
I know there may be comps on the footie forum, but this one's just for us
Rules:
Predict the correct score for each match.
You will also have an entry for the match odds based on your correct score pick, pretty obvious 2v0, 2v1 etc will be the "HOME" team win, 0v0, 1v1 etc will be DRAW
The choices are as per the main Betfair Correct Score market, so scores above 3 goals to either side will count as "any unquoted"
If you choose "any unquoted", then please also specify "home" draw or "away" (as per the order the teams are shown on Betfair markets) or simply specify the team to win.
Prices used will be those from Betfair - I'll try and pick the one with the most volume traded but won't always be able to catch that so I'll maybe try and post the prices on here at a suitable time based on the current market.
Points will be awarded to Betfair prices to a £10 stake on correct score, and a £10 stake on Match odds.
No prizes I'm afraid, but unlike Betfair's official comp you don't need to worry about whether John Terry will score a goal during the tournament.

Spain v Italy 1v1
I'm going to be rooting for Italy to win, we're so used to seeing Italian sides play the defensive game it's refreshing how they went about the Germans, there is real quality in the side.
I think Spain have taken this possession game too far, it might be effective but it's no longer so pretty to watch, their talent is unquestionable though and maybe they've saved the best 'til last.
I'll probably back 1v2 although the head tells me 1v1, I just hope it's a good final.

In the end I've just put a fiver on 2v2 for interest, was going to back Italy 2v1 but missed the 20 on here and hate taking lower odds.

World Cup 2014 Competition
(Proposed) Rules:
Predict the correct score for each match.
The choices are as per the main Betfair Correct Score market, so scores above 3 goals to either side will count as "any unquoted"
You will also have an automatic entry for the match odds based on your correct score pick, pretty obviously 2v0, 2v1 etc will be the "HOME" team win, 0v0, 1v1 etc will be DRAW.
If you choose "any unquoted", then please also specify "home" draw or "away" (as per the order the teams are shown on Betfair markets) or simply specify the team to win.
Prices used will be those from Betfair - I'll copy the back side of the correct score and match odds markets and post them as and when I get the chance, it might be the evening before a match or it might be on the day, a few hours before.
Points will be awarded to Betair prices (ignoring commission) to a 10pt stake on correct score, and a 30pt stake on match odds.
If you miss a game you lose the 10 + 30 stake except that,
of the 48 group stage games, only your 40 best match returns will count towards your points total, so you could miss up to 8 games without penalty (other than missing an opportunity to score).
All 16 knockout stage matches will be compulsory.
You can post your entries whenever you like, up to each match scheduled kick-off time.

I will start a proper thread in due course, just wanted to test how the match tables would look & put up the new updated rules, I'm hoping the 40 best results from 48 group stage matches bit makes sense, let me know if you see any flaws in that.

Just thinking if there is any point to only counting the best 40 scores from the 48 group stage matches. The idea was to give a breather to players who didn't want to or couldn't cover every match but in the end everyone will just have 8 x -40 (can't see anyone getting more than 40 right).
It would only work if restricting everyone to 40 picks and I don't want to do that.
