No change in the top 4 places despite 3 winners amongst them.

1. grey shark has been on the podium for 18 consecutive days, occupying 1st spot for the first 3 and the last 7 of them. His lead has never been more than £4.42 though, and is currently just £2.80.
2. In the immediate chasing pack, Poppydog has been in 1st and 2nd place since Feb 13 when he stormed into the lead with a great 11/1 winner.
3. Lampus has been in and out of the Top 5 a few times ths month, never higher than 3rd where he currently resides.
4. learning thegame was on the podium briefly in 5th place on Day 3, dropping down to 12th over the following week. But 12 short-priced winners out of 15 since then have put him right back in contention in 4th place.
5. And we have a new entry in the Top 5. Climbing +13 places is bluenose7 with an excellent 15/2 winner which lands him in 5th spot.
6. On the bubble in 6th place is ThreeToFour who's spent a total of 14 days in the Top 5 this month.

The gap between 5th and 20th is a mere £7.25. hi 5's is currently in 20th, having only just escaped from the drop zone. He's just improved his position by another +4 places with yesterday's 2/1 winner, so he can happily consider himself in the battle for promotion. However, if he doesn't find any more winners in the next 5 days, he could drop back to £10.50. So he can also happily consider himself still part of the battle to avoid relegation.

That's how tight it is this month.

I don't monitor every race to see how everyone's selection ran before compiling the odds. That would above and beyond . . .

As I think I've explained before, this is an in-running market and the odds are compiled by an automatic programme which only considers your position on the table, the points gap between your score and the table leader's, and the number of available betting days left in the month.

And that puts you on 66/1.
