Only 6 winners yesterday, but several of them were potentially life-changing.
Biggest climber of the day was ad hoc shouldve won a national who found a 6/1 winner at Meydan. This elevates him +11 places into 7th spot, giving him a great chance of grabbing one of the 5 promotion slots.
fortieschild was on the podium for the first 8 days of the month, occupying 1st place for 5 of them. A plethora of 2nd places and only one short-priced winner since then have seen him drop as low as 23rd on the table. So he'll be pleased to be moving in the right direction again with a 5/2 winner.
Ming_the_Merciless has been a bit out of form this month, never higher than 12th and putting himself forward as a candidate for the cesspit by hovering just outside it in 25th for a few days. Three winners in the last week including this one at 6/5 have now moved him away from immediate danger.
There's been very little in the way of a relegation battle this month with the same names occupying the cesspit for a large part of it. But that's all changed:
DFCIRONMAN finally gets his first winner of the month with 9/2 Kahsabelle at Huntingdon. Ok, he's still got some work to do but with 6 days still to go I'm not writing him off just yet.
Trusty escaped a couple of days ago with a 5/2 winner only to drop back in it again the following day. But he's on the loose again, climbing +3 places with a 7/2 shot.
And last, but certainly not least, the Biggest Priced Winner Of The Day award goes to hi 5's who napped 15/2 Garstang at Kempton. He climbs +4 places and out of trouble for the moment.
Those last two results have dropped zipper and cloughie1 into the cesspit.
Can they escape? Stay tuned to find out in the next thrilling enstalment of . . . DIVISION 2!
