Ming_the_Merciless grabbed 5th place yesterday with a fine 11/2 winner. No-one's had a penny on him in the Promo Betting Comp. Not even Ming himself. Fools!
Biggest climber was raspberrybottom who climbs +8 places with a 7/2 winner. Nice one.
The battle to avoid relegation is entering a crucial stage.
Only 5 compulsory days and one Sunday left and the bottom third of the table are all in danger.
Five of the ten names from 21 to 30 are doomed to be banished to Division 3 next month. (that's a prediction, not a certainty!)
The Grey One - was on the podium during the first week; now needs to find a couple of short-priced winners to feel safe.
bluenose7 - was languishing in 30th place a few days ago; 4 winners out of the last 5 have boosted his chances of survival but not out of the woods completely yet.
stealthgun - 45% strike rate this month but all odds-on which is pretty much all he ever goes for; needs to find a couple more
Cloughie1 - not been a good month for him; six winners, average price evens; spent most of the month in the bottom 10 but has avoided the drop zone so far.
MOB - had great faith in his new system esrly on and bet his entire bank on himself to gain promotion; it's only produced 4 winners so far; back to the drawing board?
IntheGroove - on the podium during week 1; only two winners this month; got back up from 21st to 10th mid-month but has been slipping down the table ever since
top2rated - tends to go for big prices; just the 1 winner @ 11/1 so far and a few near misses; one good one will see him out of trouble
elvissss - has spent most of the month in the drop zone but has been battling hard to escape recently
KBGJ - normally does well but it hasn't been his month; just the 2 winners so far @ 4/5 and 5/4
