Week 14, Day 6

A triple header saw both PAT'S PLAYTHING & dizzylizzy bag over 30 points each, both picking up points at all 3 meetings. Roy moves into second place and reduces YSM's lead to less than 60, while lizzy climbs into 6th place.
2 Top 10 placings see Dukeofpuke break through the 300 point barrier, and ribbons break through 100 points.
LIONS is the latest newbie to join the leaderboard thanks to finishing 4th at Lingfield.

Good luck next week.

lilBobby becomes the 7th person in this season's comp to amass over 300 points. It was a winning return to the comp for stewarts rise, and he joins the leaderboard along with another forum 'veteran' treetop.
You don't need an excuse to join the AW comp, but I did like the one given by newbie Colin2909, and he joins the leaderboard straight away following his joint 8th placing at Southwell today.

Week 15, Day 4

pedro39 was the star of the show today with 2 decent-priced winning naps which helped secure a win and a second place in the 2 comps, and his 35 point haul sees him break the 300 point barrier and jump up to 5th place; Aviboyd was danger in danger of being lumbered with a Timeform squiggle at one point today but finished with a rare rattle to land a 1529-1 4-timer in the last 4 races at Kempton; Billposter was a Top 5 finisher in both comps and collected 18 points; and PAT'S PLAYTHING picked up 11 valuable points in his bid to close the gap at the top.

Special mention to Orchardist who is leaving this year's comp to prepare for Cheltenham, after having amassed a very respectable 278 points. Good luck, sir.

George, am I due a point for joint 10th today? I didn't get bold type but got the same score.

Report GEORGE.B • February 25, 2012 10:25 PM GMT

Sorry, Bobby, didn't check properly! The point is shared, rather than a point each. When there are joint placings, the points get shared, eg if there is a tie at the top, each would receive 17.5 points.

Report GEORGE.B • March 3, 2012 6:41 PM GMT

End of Week 17

As we enter into the final 4 weeks of the comp, Youresomean shows why he's top with a stunning display of tipstering at Lingfield to once again extend his lead past 40 points. However, it's far from over with 35 meetings remaining and a second place at Lingfield yesterday for Pat's Plaything keeps him in touch.

Top scorer since the last update is Daftracing with 24 points. A win last night at Wolver for Draw1 sees him become the 4th comper to smash the 400 points barrier. 2 top 10 finishes for Ken O'sback enable him to break the 300 point barrier, a feat also achieved by Billposter. A second place for Tippu today at Lingers sees her pass the 100 mark.

2012 newbies Royalbus and Rawcs2012 join the leaderboard following their top 10 finishes at Wolver and Lingers respectively.

Week 19, Day 3

Another good day for Youresomean with 2 runner-up spots and he extends his lead to over 85 points with 21 meetings remaining.

A win for Metro John sees him pass the 300 mark, along with Statsman who was placed in both the day's comps.

And I'm delighted to welcome Meg Ryan to our AW party. Meg debuts with a top 10 finish at Southwell.

Report MegRyan • March 20, 2012 12:01 PM GMT

Got to know yesterday that there was thread tracking the AW progress. very nice.

Is there enough data to find out who the top scores are in each of the AW courses? Would love to know who the course specialist in here are

Report GEORGE.B • March 20, 2012 7:37 PM GMT

Meg, don't think that data is available, unless Billposter or one of the other compers has been keeping a record.

Week 20, Day 2

Daftracing picked up 19 points across the day's comps and Dave passes the 400 mark.

Youresomean picked up another 8 points to extend his lead further. However it's all to play for to join YSM on the podium with less than 20 points seperating the next 4 in the table. Draw1 & Dukeofpuke picked up points in both comps and move up to 3rd and 4th respectively.

MegRyan & Rawcs2012 both also collected Top 10 points in both comps are have already passed the 50 mark despite only joining recently.

And Jobbiscuit debuts in the comp with a Top 10 finish at Southwell.

A big well done to Pedro39 who becomes the second comper to break through the 500 barrier in this season's comp.

Another win for Wakingthedead puts him in with a chance of making it onto the winners podium as we head into the final week.

Other top scorers on the day were Metro John who won the Wolver comp, Black Emperor who finished 4th in both the day's comps, and MrsSmiffy who picked up 19 points thanks to 2 top 10 finishes.

Aviboyd has also done a lot of the IR this season, and Billposter has looked after the averages in Richard's absence. So thanks to them too!

These figures are based on my records. There maybe mistakes.

AVERAGE POINTS TABLE with a minimum average of 28 races a week

As we have seen on Saturday more and more classy horses are coming out to play.
All that’s needed is for someone to run into form and it’s anybody’s race.

Something my bookie said to me on leaving his shop with empty pockets “it’s not the winning that matters it’s the taking part”. Be Lucky

Final week, day 3

A big well done to Pat's Plaything who becomes the 4th comper to pass the 500 mark, and it's getting tight for that final place on the winners podium.

Well done also to MrsSmiffy who passes the 400 mark following her 2nd place at Leafy today.

Final Week, day 4

Top scorer on the day was dizzylizzy with 24 points.

A big well done to Dukeofpuke who becomes the 4th and possibly the last comper (although Wakingthedead still has a chance) to break the 500 point barrier.

At the top of the table, pedro39 closed the gap by another 6 points today on YSM, but will need at least 23.14 points tomorrow to snatch the title. Whatever happens, a good effort by Pedro to take it to the final day.

Last but not least, I called on Virgin to dig deep to win that last half-point to get to the century of points, and he didn't disappoint!

Good luck all on the final day, podium and Top 10 places still up for grabs.

Report dukeofpuke • March 31, 2012 1:59 AM BST

thx billposter

your scores fairly accurate to what i scored

i only missed 1 meeeting in december i think at lingfield
which had an 8 race card so they had a start time of 11.40
i missed it by about 10 minutes as i was up but doing other stuff
it wouldnt of counted in the scores overall

Report Smar Tarse • March 31, 2012 8:11 AM BST
