kwalker's really pissed me off. He's one of the players I put a tenner on a week ago in the Promo Betting Comp, and I was going to top him up to 100 today. He was 7/1 for a place yesterday. Now he's 2/1.
And that's all because of a splendid 9/1 winner that he napped in the shape of Swing Bill at Cheltenham which gains him +14 places and slots him into 4th on the podium.
Excellent work, although why you couldn't have waited just one more day is beyond me. Grrr!

Grok and Tightfisted both found a nice winner too. Sky Crystal did the business for them at 9/2, lifting them +12 and +9 places up the table.
I haven't had a bet on either of them, but well done anyway.

One Shot 2 Shot is another one I had a tenner on and who then started climbing up the table before I got a chance to put any more money on a decent price. He's now gone into the No.1 slot courtesy of 11/4 Ashton Rose at Dundalk.
All I need him to do now is drop back to about 20th and then find a 33/1 winner please.

learning thegame, feastorfamine and ad hoc should have won a national (and I really wish he had then I wouldn't have to type out such a long name) all found winners too but neither gain nor win any places on the table.

Promotion Betting Comp Rules

Each player will have £500 to bet with

    - all bets are for the Top 5 Market, with one exception: the ONLY person you can bet on in the Title market is yourself, subject to a maximum of £50
    - minimum bet £10
    - maximum bet in any one day on any one player £100
    - all bets must be exact multipes of £10
    - bet on the same player as many times as you like
    - bet on as many different players as you like (including yourself)
    - bet on as many different days as you like
    - no betting on the first day or the last day of the month
    - all bets must be placed by Midday (the start time of the first eligible race may be earlier in which case you may not bet on anyone whose selection for that day has already run)
    - any player who retires will be deemed to have crashed through the rails. i.e. No refunds

and 50 WIN on One Shot 2 Shot

No problem with the 50 on yourself to Win. That will go on today @ 50/1
But the ONLY player you can back in the Win market is yourself, so the bet on One Shot 2 Shot would have to be in the place market (and can be up to 100 if you want).
Do you still want to go ahead with that, or wait and see if the price drifts?
