betme and age21, perhaps you'd be kind enough to read my opening post on Monday's thread which I've bumped for you.

Best of the day was Cloughie1 with 15/2 Masked Marvel at Doncaster which pus him up +12 places into 4th spot.

And we have a new leader. Healing Hands also found a very nice winner in 13/2 Covert Decree at Goodwood to climb +8 and push MOB and DFCIRONMAN down into 2nd and 3rd.
Not that they'll be too worried. There's very little in it and nearly 3 weeks to go still.
How many times will the lead change hands this month, I wonder?

Ashmal stays on the podium but drops to 5th in spite of finding a winner.

Elsewhere, unlucky Stu goes up a useful +6 with a 5/2 winner and is now sandwiched between Poppydog and elvissss (hatrick) who scored with 4/5 and 9/4 shots respectively.

Further down the table, winners also for stealthgun (4-timer), Binoculars and The Grey One to complete a good day for the division.

Good luck to everyone who plans to have a go today

For what it's worth, Cloughie1's form figures should read 1-03300. Apologies.

Oops! Just spotted another blunder, although not life-threatening.

Horny38DD should be in 23rd place with undecided in 24th (due to the instructions).

If I could get a free copy of Excel from somewhere I could use the purpose-built spreadsheet and avoid all these mistakes. Sad

Looks like you're right Ashmal.
I had an idea there were probably one or two mistakes in the form figures but I was sort of working on the principle that no-one was likely to notice. Happy

Shane, I've just looked at filehippo.com and done a search for Microsoft Excel 2007 (and various other combinations of key words) and it came up with nothing.
Am I looking in the right place?

The situation is that I don't have Microsoft Office on the new computer and therefore I can't use the Excel spreadsheet which the other settlers all use.
I dug out the old computer and fired it up when I started doing the settling as that one does have Excel on it. But it's given up the ghost completely now.

As you know, with the purpose-built Excel spreadsheet all you have to do is enter selection and result, one mouse-click and it's all done, ready to paste onto the thread.
I use OpenOffice now. It's not quite in the same league as Microsoft Office but it's sufficent for everything I need to do - apart from this!
Obviously I've built my own spreadsheet to take some of the work out of it, but I still have to do quite a bit of it manually, which is time-consuming. But presumably it's what everyone had to do before whoever it was built that excellent macro for the Excel spreadsheet.

So, I either need a copy of Microsoft Excel or I need someone to rewrite the macro so that it works in OpenOffice. Or I carry on as I am. Or I quit because one or two people aren't cooperating for whatever reason. I'm close to it!

I know it seems very fussy of me to try and get everyone to type out their selections in a certain way when they don't have to do it in other divisions, but believe me, it's a huge help which saves me a lot of time.

When I wrote "Cheers Shane. I'll have a look at that later when I have a bit of time.", I meant of course Cheers unluckyStu. Grin

Too much sun!

Unfortunately the way they've worded it is very misleading. It's not a Free copy of Excel at all. It's a Free download of OpenOffice (which is free anyway) which they say is compatible with Microsoft Excel files and you can open and use them as if it was Excel.

This isn't true. Not with this file anyway. It won't run the macro. I tried it when I first started (as did PDB) and I've just downloaded the latest version of OpenOffice and tried it again. No change. It won't run the Excel macro.

Thanks for trying anyway.

Sorry to hear that Stu.

I'm still having to put up with 35C cloudless skies and spending a couple of hours on the beach every morning, swimming in the still-exceptionally-warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea. It's awful!
Thankfully there's a plentiful supply of ice-cold beer.
