He's achieved it with just 3 winners - 11/4, 25/1 and 20/1 - a great effort. kwalker and learning thegame so nearly got on the podium today with 11/2 and 5/1 shots, but could only manage 2nd place each. Very unlucky. caulkhead is the hero of the day. Six players went for the 8.20 at Kempton and it was caulkhead who found the winner in 8/1 Trumpington Street to secure 5th place and promotion to Division 1. Excellent work. You've got to feel sorry for traveling man though. He's been on the podium every day this month. Every day except today that is.  These are his daily positions for the first 30 days of August: 121111123321112223434333333335 Fantastic consistency which deserved to be rewarded. It wasn't to be though. If it's any consolation to him, even if his unnamed instruction (which was a winner) had been allowed today, it wouldn't have been enough to ward off caulkhead's challenge. So, promoted to Division 1 are: Gaz Kingmambo Weaver Fish BillyWhizzle caulkhead Very well done to the five of you. The bottom half of the table all drew a complete blank today. There aren't even any near misses to report but at least quite a few of you went for it with some big prices rather than resting on your laurels. Commendable spirit. Relegated to Division 3 but sure to bounce right back next month: One Shot 2 Shot sixtwosix duffy top2rated Orchardist - retired I came very close to joining you lot again in Division 2 next month but I think I've managed to stave off defeat by the skin of my teeth. Maybe next time eh! |

The good news for travelling man when he gets back is that he's been promoted anyway due to a retirement from the top division.
