Final week of this year's competition but some of you will have qualified for the mini champions league add-on to take us up to Christmas.

Points going into the final week:

Any 1 of 5 teams could take the November title.

The all important yearly title, here is how things stand at the moment but of-course a whole week of winners to go!

I think the decider will be the 8pts bonus going to the team with best yearly profit and Each Way Thieves shade that by 73.59pts from the Barons at the moment.

The Rules

Monthly rounds:
Each team will have 8 selections per week, one from each player, duplicate selections are allowed provided they are made prior to 2pm Saturday, no duplicate selections within teams at any time.
10pts win or 5pts EW on British, Irish, French (as long as an industry SP is returned) or Dubai racing , selected any day, Sunday through Saturday, last race eligible on Saturday is 6.0pm.
Settled at SP, EW terms as industry standard.
Selections must be posted at least one hour before race time.
Once you have posted a selection you are not allowed to change it or the stake, unless it becomes a non-runner or is a duplicate after the Saturday 2pm cut-off.
Leaving reserve instructions not allowed.
Non Runners - that team member may choose again for that week.

Wildcards will be available to make up shortfall of numbers or holiday absence. If they are confirmed in advance, then wildcards may be used anytime that following week. If not, then it will be treated as a late wildcard to be used only after noon on Saturday.
Late wildcards will be available after noon on Saturdays to cover unexpected absence so if you may be leaving your selection til after this time you should let your team know otherwise they may use it.
Maximum two wildcards or late wildcards per any one team member per week.
If any player is absent for two weeks running without notice, they may be dropped from the comp.

Teams will start the week from a baseline of 0pts. This equates to 8 losing selections and/or non-selections.
Subsequent scores will be added to this baseline plus return of the winning part of the stake (10pts for win and EW winner, 5pts for EW placed). All scores count.
If there is a tie on weekly profit (or lack of) between two or more teams then the total points for those positions will be shared equally.
Weekly winners will receive 9pts, runners-up - 7pts, 3rd - 6pts, 4th - 5pts, 5th - 4pts, 6th - 3pts, 7th - 2pts, 8th - 1pt
Teams will receive 1 bonus point for each 66pts scored in any one week. This will count towards the monthly points total.
If at the end of the month there is a tie on points between two or more teams then overall profit will be taken into account.

Points structure for overall yearly comp:
Monthly winners will receive 8pts, runners-up - 7pts, 3rd - 6pts, 4th - 5pts, 5th - 4pts, 6th - 3pts, 7th - 2pts, 8th - 1pt
+ 8pts awarded at the end of the year for the best overall profit.

The AW Barons launched an assault on Southwell today and came away with a bag full of points.
Ricky Santini napped 12/1 winner Fashion Icon and werbie found 9/2 winner Kingaroo, top napping guys!

The Barons now have a 100.41pts lead over EW Thieves for the yearly bonus & with it the 2010 title!

Final week competition is revving up nicely as the Each Way Thieves cut the deficit to the Barons in half with Tingle Creek's fine 4/1 winner Riguez Dancer!

a bit dizzee adds a little more distance between the Barons and the Thieves with 4/1 2nd Sound Stage, 59.41 the difference now!

Final day of the main competition tomorrow, it's safe to say it's a straight battle between AW Barons and Each Way Thieves for the 2010 title and the Barons hold sway with a 59.41pt advantage in pursuit of the vital 8pt bonus awarded to the team that scored the best profit all year.
Only two meetings on Saturday + the final eligible race, the 5.50 Wolverhampton.

Last day of the comp but please don't disappear just yet though, if you have qualified for the champions league, there's a max of 3 weeks more fun/torture, full details Saturday evening Happy
