With 2 weeks left + the mini Champions league, I'd better let you know about next year's comp.
I cannot devote so much time anymore, but rather than abandon the comp altogether, I'm looking to make some changes.
My proposals are that there won't be weekly rounds, just monthly.
Players will still be required to pick one a week but there will be no points awarded at the end of the week, scores will add up over the whole month and the team with best overall "profit" for that month will win.
Month end will be the last Saturday in each month, 4 week cycle, so if there are 5 Saturdays in a month then the first week will be a week off.
Where I will save time is that I won't do Saturday list updates, I will still do a list so that everyone can see who should still select etc. but I will only post results after racing or even on Sunday.
I will still do the Saturday updates on the final day of the month where possible.
I would consider bringing back Saturday evenings, the last race for the week would be the last UK/Irish race on Saturday.
There will not be a cup comp or any other add-ons - just the 8 monthly rounds.
Let me know what you think, I'm happy to listen to suggestions, for instance if you think it's better to keep the current weekly points system even though I may not post results until the following day then let me know,

ud, you have done and continue to do a terrific job. I'll ask the Pins what they think - as a shift worker these days it is very difficult for me to offer help on various comps - and it also helps me understand just how much effort goes into keeping these going.

It`s up to you Ud. The amount of work you put into it makes it your baby entirely imo.
Whatever makes your life easier UD. Your proposed changes above wouldn't inconvenience the players too much so if they'll make life easier for you it makes sense to go for it.

Yes I have to agree with Stewpot and others, if the proposed changes will make life easier for you UD then go with them!!
thanks guys, as long as the changes don't mean people lose interest.
The focus would transfer from each Saturday towards the final week, there would be a slower build up but it might make it more exciting towards the end with teams lagging behind chasing the bigger prices to try and catch up?

I think it might be up to team captains and team players to keep up the interest via the team threads. Most teams do already but I would hope interest will be just as keen. Mind you there are some forgetful buggers in some of the teams 
Not being a stirrer I won't mention names/ teams
