Today belongs to Duffy & Mewho who stormed up the table with 14/1 & 9/1 winners respectively at the start and finish of today’s meeting at York. Duffy used the bus analogy “You wait for ages then two come along at once” “and in the meantime proved lightning can strike twice!! Mewho went all Scottish in the opener and was rewarded accordingly. Elsewhere Orchardist made sure he posted his selection last night to avoid sleeping in and was joined by Shearertotherescue when the Rip stormed homed at 7/4. Binoculars Not Needed continued on his merry way with a 11/4 success inching towards Division 1 in the meantime. At the Top Forest Of Dean was so sure his selection would win he posted it twice but Uncle Keef could finish no better than 3rd and Far From Trouble tried to end this months “who will be the Division Champion poser” with a 50/1 shot that sadly ran like one and finished stone bonk last. Man Of Many Moods eagerly returned in person but his selection could only finish second.  While down in those dreaded relegation spots Healing Hands & Polo Minx both arrested their recent form with the odds on win of Bawaab clearing the drop positions in the process, a result that may well bring Valuescope out of hiding!! Finally TWM, KBGJ & Dawnhillwalker kept me up well past my bedtime with Bougainvilla in the last at Kempton but to no avail as the favourite was beaten.
